Primark shoppers spot adorable teddy bear PJs that’ll keep you warm all winter – but fans are raging about the price

WHEN it comes to nightwear, it’s one of the first ports of call for many shoppers looking for a bargain.

But Primark fans have been left stunned by a pair of new winter PJs, that will set them back a whopping £30 a pair.

The store in Sligo took to TikTok to share a video of the “teddy bear cosy pyjamas”.

The clip showed the two-piece hanging on the rail in the shop – a button up cardigan and matching trousers.

The cream ensemble features cute brown bears wearing maroon jumpers.

But Primark devotees were quick to spot that the trousers come in at 18 Euros, as does the cardigan – making it a whopping £30 for the pair.

In comparison, you can pick up a set of fleecy pyjamas in Marks & Spencer for just £18, the cost of just one piece of the Primark set.

In comments on the TikTok video, shoppers were quick to weigh in on the Primark price, with one writing: “Primark gone mad!!!”

“Primark is far too expensive,” another agreed.

“Seriously? Omg that’s bad,” a third said.

“Primark you’ll lose customers at that price, especially with the cost of greed crisis!” someone else warned.

“I thought the whole point of Primark was for it to be a budget friendly store?” another questioned.

“Why’s it half my wages though?” someone else asked.

When someone else said the PJs have to be sold as two pieces due to people being different sizes on top and bottom, another added: “I understand they should keep the opinion of different sizes separately, but to split a set and hike the price of PJS up to €36 is nuts!”

While another wrote: “Wait until January sales and they will be less than half the price, because no mug is going to pay that for a pair of primarni pjs!”

Primark’s history

PRIMARK first opened in 1969 as Pennies in Dublin, hoping to provide affordable fashion in Ireland.
A Primark store officially opened as Primark in 1974 in Derby.
The retailer now has 193 stores across the UK and 441 stores worldwide with a goal of running 530 stores by the end of 2026.

Others were desperate to get their hands on a pair of the pyjamas, with one insisting they were perfect to wear on a cosy Christmas day at home.

“We need these for Xmas day lol,” another added.

“These look comfy!” someone else gushed.
