Suits fans are about to get Litt Up after it was confirmed that Gabriel Macht will be reprising his role for the upcoming reboot.

The acclaimed legal drama, also starring Meghan Markle, Patrick J Adams, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres, ran for nine seasons between 2011 – 2019.

It followed college dropout Mike Ross (Patrick) as he tricked his way into a job at New York law firm Pearson Hardman, working as the associate to cocky and ridiculously dapper lawyer Harvey Specter (Gabriel) – despite not having a law degree.

Last year, TV bosses confirmed that a spin-off series, Suits: LA, would be hitting the small screen, and Deadline now reports that Harvey will be dusting off an expensive suit for a brief stint.

According to the outlet, Gabriel will be back for a ‘three-episode guest arc’, but does not mean that he will join the series in a full-time role.

Taking to Instagram, he seemingly revealed his return in a video, set to Greenback Boogie by Ima Robot, aka the theme tune for the original program.

The very brief clip began with a close-up of Harvey’s monogrammed shirt cuffs, before panning down to a pair of shiny brown shoes, with Harvey’s name written in the insole.

It ended with Gabriel putting the shoes on, before going on with his day.

Alongside the upload, he wrote: ‘When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very “things” right.’

It is not clear when the spin-off will premiere, but fans immediately went into meltdown over the video and flocked to the comments below to celebrate the news.

Nirsharul_Remax penned: ‘Yes the world needs Harvey Spector! [sic].’

‘SCREAMING IN MY ROOM RN welcome back HARVEY REGINALD SPECTER,’ Shreshtiii yelled.

Rafferty.ig wrote: ‘About to have a season 5 Harvey Specter panic attack WHAT DOES THIS MEAN.’

As Brookengrete begged: ‘Gabriel, do not play with my emotions like this.’

The ninth and final season ended with Harvey marrying his iconic assistant Donna (Sarah), with the pair moving to Seattle to join Mike and Rachel (Meghan).

After Suits wrapped, Gabriel took a step back from the spotlight to concentrate on spending time with his family, with the spin-off marking his return to our screens.

Suits: LA will focus on the drama at a completely different firm, tackling the legal issues on the west coast – Stephen Amell is set to lead the way as powerful lawyer Ted Black, as he navigates a crisis point with the company.

The original cast have previously voiced their desire to return, with Patrick sharing that he has offered himself to the creator in whatever way he’s needed.

‘I’ve offered my services at all times,’ he said, via TV Line. ‘I love Aaron Korsh and I love that world. It changed my whole life.

‘That will be the interesting thing if we can get Mike back in the fold somehow. I guess we’ll figure out how it’s going [with Rachel] — or if it’s going’

Obviously, Meghan’s entire life has changed since her starring role as paralegal Rachel, as she married Prince Harry in 2018 – all eyes will be on whether Aaron and co are able to convince the Duchess of Sussex to make a cameo…
