Ashley Cain has announced he’s due to become a dad for the third time, three years after daughter Azaylia’s death from leukaemia.

The TV personality and former footballer, 34, and his ex-partner Safiyya Vorajee, 36, suffered devastation when Azaylia died in April 2021 at just eight months old.

Ashley and Safiyya split one year later, and he welcomed son Aliyas Diamond with a new partner in January 2024.

Sharing that his family is set to grow next year, Ashley wrote to his 2.2million followers this afternoon: ‘“Another One” **DJ Khaled Voice**

‘My little girl will soon have another little brother to watch over, and my little boy will not only be a baby brother but a big brother too. With all the heartache I’ve been through, I’m truly grateful that I can really start counting my blessings again!’

He added in an emotional goodbye: ‘Now, it’s time to head to two of the most dangerous places in the world to film the final two episodes of my brand new series. So for now, I’m sad to say goodbye, but I look forward to seeing you both soon, my little men.’

‘And to my guardian angel, I’ll never ever be without you because I can feel your presence in every step I take,’ Ashley directed to Azaylia.

‘Life has a way of throwing challenges our way, but it also blesses us with moments that fill our hearts with immense joy. Here’s to the journey ahead and the beautiful souls who make it worthwhile.’

The photos Ashley shared showed him cuddling up to his young son, who is the spitting image of his famous dad, plus the scan of his third child.

After sharing the joyful news, the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star was inundated with congratulatory messages.

‘Awwww massive congratulations to you all xx’, commented brorarunicorn.

‘A little tear got caught in my eye and a gulp in my throat….. the story you couldn’t write but you have lived …. All the love in the world to you all 🫶🫶🫶🫶’, said lad_007.

The former Coventry City player did not name the mother of his child in the announcement post.

At the start of the year, he welcomed his son with a childhood friend whom he has dated on and off over the years.

Following the death of Azaylia, the Ex on the Beach star has completed many fundraisers, including a mammoth 3,000 challenge this summer, which raised almost £200,000 in her memory.

He and Safiyya also have a charity in their daughter’s name, dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.

Ashley has been open about his grief over the past three years, previously telling The Mirror that his late daughter ‘saved [his] life’.

‘The reason also why I still talk about her passing is because I am so grateful that even though now I have lost her, I was blessed to have those eight months with her, and in that time, she taught me so much,’ he said.

‘She changed my life and she continually saves my life. I feel like she gave me a chance at redemption and that she is the person who allowed me to be organically and authentically who I am.’

When Ashley’s partner was expecting his second child, he also visited Azaylia’s grave straight away to tell her the news.

‘The first thing that I did was go down to Azaylia’s resting place to talk to her about it,’ he told The Sun.

‘I believe that was a huge part that has allowed me to feel positive about it. I feel like she was the main person that I needed to speak to and to get this thing off my chest.

‘After going to her resting place and speaking to her about it, I just had a feeling in my heart and in my soul that she was happy for me.’
