Coleen Rooney shocks I’m A Celebrity camp by revealing unlikely Donald Trump connection-Emily Bashforth-Entertainment – Metro

Coleen Rooney’s stint in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp is the gift that keeps on giving.

The Wag and TV personality, 38, has spent the past week living with Oti Mabuse, Danny Jones, Alan Halsall, and Tulisa Contostavlos after reportedly accepting a whopping £5,000,000 fee for her appearance on the show.

So far, she’s been television gold, whether it’s by spilling the beans on her Wagatha Christie saga or lifting the lid on her 16-year marriage to footballer Wayne Rooney.

And tonight, the media personality shared another surprising anecdote, which involved a connection to US President-elect Donald Trump.

It was Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Cole’s first morning in the main camp, having made their way over from the much more luxurious Jungle Junkyard as latecomers.

Gathered around for a chat with her fellow campers, Coleen began regaling stories from her stardom.

She said of her and Wayne: ‘When we lived in America, we were invited to the White House for Christmas, and we went in to meet Donald Trump.

‘And we walked in, and we got to get the official photograph taken in front of the Christmas tree.

‘So Donald Trump said to his son, “See? Told ya, all the soccer players get the good-looking girls.”

‘And I told my mum, I was like, “dirty b*****d”.’

Coleen then continued to tell her fellow campmates how Trump ‘wanted Wayne to go over to teach his son to play football.’

McFly star Danny then had one burning question to ask Coleen about her visit to the Republican politician, as he quizzed: ‘Is he that orange?’

Coleen confirmed: ‘He was very orange!’

The mum-of-four certainly isn’t a stranger to a bit of jet-setting. In fact, she was back at the White House last spring.

In April 2023, she posed outside the residence in Washington, D.C., with husband Wayne and two of their boys as they took part in the Easter Egg Roll.

Speaking in camp about the turbulence of her marriage, Coleen hasn’t made a secret of her ups and downs with Wayne.

Opening up about her other half’s scandals, such as drink driving and infidelity, Coleen admitted she felt pressure to break up with him.

‘When things have happened the public have wanted it to just go oh, split, you know, that’s it, split them up. But the fact is, there’s always been love still there,’ she told her fellow celebs.

‘It has been difficult, but we’re happy now, after all those years… we’re a team.’

Coleen took on her first Bushtucker Trial tonight, along with BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough. They had to work as a team in Absolute Carnage, collecting stars and fending off critters to win meals.

With 12 minutes to unlock all the stars, Coleen and Dean successfully won nine stars for camp. 

Having impressed Ant and Dec, they told Coleen: ‘You were very calm, very quiet; you just got on with it.’

Coleen replied: ‘Yeah, that is my way of coping, silence, the silent treatment.’

A trial veteran at this point, Dean also admitted he felt like he’d conquered his fear of fish guts whilst being covered in them.
