A ‘forgotten’ thriller film starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman has been unearthed on social media and fans are giving it 10/10.
The James Bond star, 56, and the Academy Award-winning actress, 57, both starred in Oliver Hirschbiegel’s thriller film The Invasion in 2007.
However, the film was a huge flop at the box office, failing to make back its £60million budget, and was overshadowed by other projects the stars were in.
The film landed just two years into Daniel Craig’s stint as 007, while Nicole was in The Golden Compass and Baz Luhrmann’s Australia at the time.
Additionally, The Invasion was released in the UK during the same week as The Bourne Ultimatum and just two weeks after The Simpsons Movie.
It meant that the film – which follows a psychiatrist noticing that people around her are changing after a space shuttle crashes on Earth – has been ‘forgotten’ over the years.

The film was originally intended to be a remake of the 1956 film The Invasion of the Body Snatchers but was re-jigged to suit modern times instead.
Upon its release, it was also slammed by critics, with the film currently sitting at just 20% on Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 4.3 out of 10.
But its heyday might be around the corner, with social media users re-discovering the film 17 years after it launched at the worldwide box office.
Instagram account NetflixnMovies, which has over six million followers on the platform, shared a clip of the film and captioned the post, ‘If you show any emotion, you die.’

The post attracted over 370,000 likes and has received almost 2,000 comments, with many of them praising and remembering the film from 2007.
MoviesWithMia commented: ‘I really enjoyed the version from the 70’s with Donald Sutherland, had a gritty almost noir feel to it. But this version was really great as well! I haven’t seen the one from ‘56 yet!’
Meanwhile, MalleahAllan said of the film, which is available on Amazon Prime Video: ‘Oh my god I’ve been looking for this movie forever.’

StefanVocuck praised the film: ‘Because I loved The Invasion of the Body Snatchers from 1956 I never expected to love this movie, which is a reboot, so much. Nicole Kidman was fantastic in this.’
The film that was called ’10/10′ by some fans has recently been given an upgrade, with a 4K release coming to the UK thanks to Arrow Video.
So, it could be the case that 2024 is the year The Invasion finally gets its due, with streaming services playing a role in the revival of other films in the past.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers was originally a 1955 novel by Jack Finney, which was adapted into films in 1956, 1978 (starring Donald Sutherland), and 1993.
