Katie Holmes’ appearance shocks viewers as they all ask the same question-Josie Copson-Entertainment – Metro

Katie Holmes popped up on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and viewers were left asking, does she age?

The 45-year-old actress sat down to discuss her Broadway show, Our Town, which currently requires her to perform eight times per week.

In the chat, Katie shared what it was like to do multiple runs of such a big show. Luckily, keeping the energy up isn’t too big of an ask for Katie as it’s such a ‘dream job’.

‘We have a great time. We all really love each other,’ she added of the 28-strong cast which also includes Jim Parsons, Michelle Wilson, Julie Halston and Zoey Deutch.

While her theatre achievement was the subject matter, fans couldn’t stop talking about something else – how good she looked.

Katie stunned in a neutral one-sleeved dress embellished with sparkle. She wore her long dark hair in a wavy style and kept her makeup minimal.

‘She aged like fine wine,’ said account den_solor on a clip posted on the show’s Instagram.

Queued wrote: ‘Still got my Katie Holmes crush. Going strong since 99.’

Of course there’s no bad way to age, and it’s personal choice but many saluted Katie’s handling of the process.

Account Basiaanotos333 felt personally inspired by it: ‘I absolutely ADORE this !! Katie is aging so gracefully and this is so incredibly admirable. She is herself and that’s how she should be. So many of us fight aging when we should realize what an absolutely privilege it truly is.’

Getting older is a privilege, and 4minutesearlier weighed in to say: ‘She looks great! Aging can be beautiful!’

Being such a vision may be a result of all the beauty sleep she’s getting. Katie revealed that she’s a huge fan of the nap. ‘When I walk into a new place, I usually wonder: “Where am I gonna go if I need a nap?”‘ she confessed.

Katie became an instant star when she began acting in Dawson’s Creek. The teen drama ran for six seasons between 1998 to 2003, with Katie playing Joey Potter, who was known as the idealistic voice of reason within her group of friends.

She has since starred in movies Batman Begins, Logan Lucky, and most recently, The Secret: Dare to Dream.

While Katie has been a very famous Hollywood star for many years, she’s kept certain aspects of her life private. Usually, Katie chooses not to talk too extensively about her family life. However, she recently gave an update on her daughter Suri, 18, who she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

Katie and Tom welcomed their only child together in 2006, shortly before they tied the knot. However, their relationship wasn’t to last and the Batman actress filed for divorce at the end of June, 2012 – they signed a settlement a few weeks later.

As Suri is heading to university, her mom couldn’t help but share her pride at being by her side as she takes her next steps.

‘I’m proud of my daughter,’ she told Town & Country magazine in a new interview. ‘Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.’ Suri is reportedly attending Carnegie Mellon University and studying fashion.

She continued: ‘I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that.’
