One of the most beloved fantasy TV shows ever made, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, will be streamed on UK television just in time for the new year.
Whether you are a longtime fan with the itch to rewatch or a new viewer looking for a classic show to kick off 2025 – all seven seasons and 144 episodes will be ready for your viewing please from January on ITVX.
The iconic vampire series stars Sarah Michelle Gellar as the titular heroine, a badass slayer of evil creatures who must protect her friends and earth itself from her small town, Sunnydale.
She faces down these deadly threats with her high school friends Willow (Alyson Hannigan), Xander (Nicholas Brendon) and her mentor (and school librarian) Rupert Giles (Anthony Head).
But that just scrapes the surface of the rich cast of characters that come in and out of Buffy’s life throughout the dramatic seven seasons.
Essentially buckle in for dramatic love triangles, ghastly foes and astonishing action sequences – with a healthy dose of heartwrenching emotion.

For those of you who have had this on your watchlist for a while, now is your time to shine!
Buffy has accumulated a large and devoted fanbase over the years who have nothing but praise for this genre-defining series which ran from 1997 to 2003.
One review from Google user Joe Baron praised the show as one of the ‘best TV series ever written’.
‘Absolutely ground breaking at the time and still one of my all time favourite (if not overall favourite) series of all time,’ user Andy Harvey echoed.
‘Fantastic show that I recommend to everyone. A beautiful coming of age story, mixed in with a high-functioning fantasy world. A show that despite all the fight scenes, isn’t truly about the fights at all,’ Elliot Pierce agreed.
And critics were in agreement with the show as a whole securing an impressive 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Last year, Yellowjackets actor Melanie Lynskey revealed that she actually turned down a potential role in the series as she reflected on what could have been.
‘It was kind of a visa issue,’ she told Shut Up Evan: The Newsletter.
She continued: ‘It was very early in my career. I had a very old-school agent who was like, “TV? That’s for has-beens!” and I was like, “I don’t think it is anymore.”
‘Certainly, now things have really changed, but I just wasn’t super into it at the time.’
Apparently, Melanie had been up for the role of Willow, Buffy’s best friend but in the end it wasn’t meant to be.
A few of the stars from Buffy reunited at the end of 2023, delighting fans.
Sarah was pictured with Seth Green and Emma Caulfield at an Ed Sheeran concert.
The Cruel Intentions star sweet post at the time was captioned: ‘Also I really love these people’ as fans showered their adoration for the trio in the comments.
All seven seasons of Buffy The Vampire Slayer will arrive on ITVX in January. They will be available to watch until at least March 2025.
