I’m A Celebrity fans ‘in tears’ after host Declan Donnelly drops hilarious sexual innuendo-Pierra Willix-Entertainment – Metro

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! viewers were left in stitches after host Declan Donnelly joked about facing ‘big bushes’.

The presenter, 49, has fronted the ITV reality series alongside Ant McPartlin since it began in 2002.

The current season is underway in Australia right now, with celebrities including Coleen Rooney, Oti Mabuse, Reverend Richard Coles and Maura Higgins in the running to take out this year’s title.

Following the show each night, the companion series I’m A Celebrity Unpacked offers fan an insight into the series.

On Friday night’s episode, hosts Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers were joined by Ant & Dec, who at one point were asked to reflect on how much the show had changed over the years.

‘You guys have been doing this for 20 years now. How different has this series been from series 1?’ he asked.

Responding, Dec said it was ‘pretty unrecognisable’.

‘It wasn’t here. It was up in Northern Australia, near Cairns, so it was a lot hotter,’ he explained.

Jumping in, Dec held up his hands to mimic his description and went: ‘And it was really thick…thick bush. Thick under…’

Unable to contain himself, Joel burst into laughter before the rest of the hosts followed suit.

Fanning himself with his script, Joel looked somewhat uncomfortable while Sam bent over in laughter.

‘And what happened on the show!?’ Ant asked as Dec kept going and continued trying to speak but only getting the word ‘thick’ out before he too started chuckling.

As he was told ‘that’s all we have time for!’ Dec didn’t give up on trying to explain what he meant.

‘Yea yea yea it was thick. Thick bush,’ Ant said while patting his co-host on the shoulder before Joel alerted him to the fact the position in which he was holding his hand ‘wasn’t helping’.

After finally getting it out that he meant ‘thick jungle’ Ant told him the mistake of his description and hand position.

‘Those two combined are not good!’ he warned after it was already too late.

Turning to Kemi, Ant apologised on behalf of his co-host, however she then joked their conversation was ‘reminding me to go for a wax when I go home’.

After a clip of the moment was shared on social media, many viewers admitted the unintended sexual innuendo left them laughing.

‘Once Dec starts to wheeze, you know there’s no coming back. We were in stitches in my house,’ Naomi commented on Instagram.

‘I was crying with laughter at this…best series so far,’ Dawn shared.

‘Watched this live and was in tears!! Joel’s laughing was uncontrollable! Funniest thing I’ve seen in ages. This will be in the TV funniest moment archives for a while!’ Sarah added.

Speaking to Metro, Kemi previously spoke about how her experience in radio helped prepare her for any slip-ups or live blunders that may occur.

‘You just have to laugh and move on, I think radio is the best thing for that, because it always goes t*ts up!’ she said.

‘And years ago, I would have panicked, like “Oh my god, oh my god, I’m sorry,” [now] you just have to laugh and move on.’

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1. It will be followed by I’m A Celebrity Unpacked at 10.05pm on ITV2.
