Jeremy Clarkson has sparked outrage over the price of a steak at his Oxfordshire pub.
The former Top Gear star, 64, opened the doors to his The Farmer’s Dog pub in August after the success of his Diddly Squat farm and shop, but has already faced backlash over prices.
It was revealed that merch was costing up to £60, while pints were £5.50.
He later had to defend himself against charging the likes of £15 for a vegetable and cheddar crumble and £19 for a Lancashire hotpot.
And now fans have taken aim at the price of a steak and ‘half a carrot’, after it was shared on the new venue’s Instagram page.
‘Thanks Chef! Here’s a special for you.. Diddly Squat reared fillet steak with fresh carrots, mash and local black cabbage all for £28 pounds…,’ the caption read.

Follower @fourty_4_sunsets fumed: ‘For those sating its a good value- half a carrot, a potatoe and a green leaf costs probably about 50p max. The steak is home raised, much cheaper than if ordered in. The cost of this dish is about £4-5max, the rest is business costs (a few quid) and profit.’
‘Where is the rest of it?’ @gcoombs496 laughed, while @prettyniceperson said: ‘I know it’s the ‘in’ thing to do to cut steak up these days but I don’t want my steak cut up, I want to cut it up myself. As a chef of over 30 years I will never follow this trend. It looks delicious however.’
@dontduckfitness added: ‘That’s some mark up.’
‘How much!!!!?? Wouldn’t pay half that,’ @uncle_g18 wrote.

@calbearsbrit said: ‘Would tend to expect there to be more than one carrot and a single leaf of cabbage on the plate…’
@mac90911 echoed: ‘Carrots is plural. Carrot is singular. What is the right word for “half of a singular”?’
Others however defended the high price, with @smithne74 writing: ‘Why the issue with £28? That’s about the going rate for a Fillet Steak in any restaurant.’
‘For all those questioning the price a pub near us are selling local fillet steak at £45/portion! £28 looks a bargain!’ @maxnmurdoch said.

This comes after Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper firmly defended The Farmer’s Dog prices.
He told Metro at the National Television Awards: ‘I’ve spent a little time there. It’s fantastic, it’s great, it’s really just a good traditional pub with good food, highlighting the quality of British produce.’
‘I don’t think there’s any difference in prices to any other pub.’
His co-star on the Amazon Prime TV series, Charlie Ireland, added: ‘We aimed for a bit cheaper than the local area because the pubs are sort of renowned for high prices. We’ve tried to make it affordable for people.’

Clarkson has also admitted that he loses ‘£10 per customer’ at the pub because he only uses local produce.
The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host claimed his ethos doesn’t ‘make business sense’ but he just ‘filled his heart with hope’ even though it costs him a fortune.
He noted that British black pepper costs £100 a kilogram, but he would pay a fraction of the price – just £10 – if he imported it, and that he pay out more for killing his own pigs for meat at 74p per sausage than buying from abroad at 18p a sausage.
In his column for The Sunday Times, he previously said: ‘Now a business-minded person would look at these costs and realise that with British-only rules in place a hotdog was going be priced at about £45.

‘But I’m not a business-minded person. So I just filled my heart with hope, asked an AI program to work out what the average price of lunch in a Cotswolds pub is and just charged that.
‘It’s possible that for every customer who comes through the door I’d lose about £10.’
He had previously urged people to ‘be kind’ after the backlash over prices, and complaints over long queues to enter the reported £1,000,000 boozer, saying: ‘We are getting better now, but I do ask, if you drop by, to remember this.
‘Your lunch, if it arrives at all, is costing us a lot more than it’s costing you. So please be kind.’
