Eammon Holmes was all smiles with girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42, as they officially debuted their relationship at a star-studded industry event.

The GB News presenter arrived at the TRIC (Television and Radio Industries Club) Christmas lunch at the Londoner in a blazer suit with the support of a walker.

Katie was by his side, wearing a mini navy polka dot dress, black blazer and handbag as the pair posed for official photos outside the event, appearing stronger than ever.

Although the pair have been seen out and about together in the months since Eamonn’s shock split from estranged wife Ruth Langsford, they were yet to commit the budding relationship in front of the camera… until now.

The event was filled with familiar faces including Lizzie Cundy, Lady Victoria Hervey, Angela Rippon, Dan Walker, Ainsley Harriott and Angelica Bell.

Speaking to The Sun last month, Holmes opened up about his ‘tough year’ which has been overshadowed by his break-up and escalating health issues.

He said: ‘It’s been a tough year and I’ll be glad to see the back of it.

‘But there are lots of things to be grateful for and I hope that my health improves next year.’

Alongside his separation, the media personality has also undergone back surgery and suffers from chronic pain.

Their flashy black tie appearance comes just weeks after they quietly attended The Irish Post Awards and just days after Ruth landed in Australia to present I’m A Celebrity…. Unpacked.

Although she arrived as her close friend Jane Moore, 62, became the first to be booted out of the jungle. Meanwhile, Eamonn has officially endorsed Irish star Barry McGuigan.

The former couple co-hosted This Morning together for 15 years until 2020 and this June announced their split after 27 years together, 14 of which they were married.

Since then Eamonn has even taken his new girlfriend, a counsellor, on a Mediterranean cruise with those close to the couple claiming they are very happy together.

‘Katie was there with his family a few weeks ago, and she reassured them she’s in it for keeps.

‘She says Eamonn is her soulmate and true love, and she wants to love and care for him – especially as he’s in such a bad way with his legs and back, and can’t walk properly without assistance,’ an insider told Heat magazine at the end of September.

Earlier this month it was revealed that as well as knowing one another since 2015, the pair had been exchanging flirty online messages over a decade ago.

A source told The Sun that ‘no one knew how far back they went’.

They continued: ‘Ruth will be shocked they were in contact 12 years ago. I don’t think she would have known.

‘Eamonn gets a buzz out of replying to messages from fans. He and Katie had a real connection, and it blossomed into something more.

Elsewhere, Ruth has been tight-lipped about the break-up but it was claimed she was shocked by the new couple going on a luxury holiday together and that she was ‘partying through the pain’.

And she even made a dig at her ex during Loose Women in October during a discussion about de-cluttering the home.

Ruth said: ‘I’m not a hoarder, I’m a clearer-outer. Come around I’ve always got a skip outside!’

Before laughing: ‘I’m chucking a lot of stuff out at the moment!’

The TV star was previously praised by Coleen Nolan for handling the split with ‘dignity’ and has reportedly even hired a ‘fierce’ divorce lawyer.
