Rita Ora stuns fans in high street suit at swanky Fashion Awards and looks almost unrecognisable in punk makeover

RITA Ora swapped her usual glamorous style for a punk-inspired look at the 2024 Fashion Awards, making a bold statement on the red carpet.

The 34-year-old singer traded in her long locks and ball gowns for a sharp, edgy ensemble as she attended the event at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Accompanied by her look-a-like mother, Vera, Rita rocked an oversized suit, complete with a blonde mullet and even blonde eyebrows.

Her mum matched her vibe in a suit of her own, but in the opposite shades, creating a stylish mother-daughter moment.

Both suits were custom-designed by Rita and Primark and will be available in stores next year.

This look marks a dramatic departure from the black Primark dress Rita wore last year, which featured an iconic spine detail.

This time, she embraced a power suit, showcasing her ever-evolving style and love for experimentation.

The oversized blazer with dramatic shoulders and wide-leg trousers is paired with a classic white-striped shirt and a subtle pop of color with a pink tie.

The chic and understated outfit is versatile enough for everything from office wear to a red-carpet event.

Vera, who also starred in Rita’s winter Primark campaign, joined her at the British Fashion Awards (BFAs), and the pair twinned in matching suits in complementary colours.

Several other stylish guests wore pieces from Rita’s latest Primark collection, including Myleene Klass, Roxy Horner, and Anastasia Kingsnorth.

Myleene turned heads in a faux fur shaggy jacket paired with a dazzling white sequin crop top and shorts, giving the ensemble a glam twist.

Roxy wore a sleek white bralette with a plunging neckline and matching kick-flare trousers, perfect for holiday events.

Anastasia’s sultry black lace-detail suit, with delicate lace inserts, added a seductive edge to the classic two-piece look.

Musicians Chip and Krept also wore suits from Primark’s menswear collection, with Krept opting for a retro-inspired double-breasted jacket, while Chip went for a more casual black corduroy suit paired with a classic white tee.

Rita shared her design journey, saying: “I love changing things up with my style and wanted to create something timeless but with a twist.

“Primark and I worked on this oversized suit, adding contrasting colors, punk-inspired hair, and bold makeup.

“It’s great that my mum could join me – she was the star of my winter campaign, so I had to have her by my side.”

“We combined her avant-garde vision with Primark’s focus on versatility and affordability, creating something stylish and wearable that our customers will love.”

The Fashion Awards, a major global event celebrating the intersection of fashion and culture, serves as a fundraiser for the British Fashion Council (BFC).

The awards honoured designers, models and fashion visionaries who made significant contributions to the industry.

This year, Primark proudly became a new patron of the BFC, marking 50 years of offering accessible and affordable fashion with great quality for everyone.

Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget

AS someone who’s no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it’s about time that celebrities started catching on too.
For as long as I’ve been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those “I have nothing to wear” moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect.
And I’m definitely not alone – on any Friday or Saturday night, you’ll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time.
But no matter what, Primark always delivers.
Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores.
While Rita’s not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she’s proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less.
Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham – if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards.
With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I’m sure more stars will be following suit soon enough.
