Chart-topping 80s star Adam Ant has postponed his UK tour by almost 12 months due to illness.
The 70-year-old singer, whose real name is Stuart Leslie Goddard, soared to popularity as the lead vocalist for new wave group Adam and the Ants before pursuing a solo career.
From 1980 to 1983, he had three UK number ones as part of the band, which formed in 1977, with hits including Stand and Deliver and Prince Charming.
Now, having continued performing to crowds with his own material, Adam was due to play in various locations across the UK this year.
However, his tour has been rescheduled to October 2025.
He will begin in Bournemouth on the 23rd and will conclude the run in Basingstoke on November 25.

It’s not all bad news, though, because Adam has added new shows in Bournemouth, Cardiff, Basingstoke, Watford, Portsmouth, and Milton Keynes.
Announcing the new tour dates, he said in a statement: ‘Performing live brings me such personal joy.
‘I’m now feeling fine and dandy and very much looking forward to these new shows.
‘I wish you all a Merry Christmas… and I hope the news I bring will make for a Happy New Year!’
His rescheduled ANTMUSIC 2024 tour comes after Adam posted on Instagram that he had ‘deep regret’ about postponing the original dates.
‘As you know, I have missed the shows this past week due to ill health,’ he wrote five weeks ago.
‘Performing live brings me such personal joy and I’m so disappointed that at this moment in time, I am unable to.

‘There will be an announcement next week as my team work out the new dates, so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the new shows.’
He added: ‘Good news is we hope to add extra shows and additional venues as well, and make the next tour bigger and better.
‘I love you all and thank you for all your kind messages over this past week.’
Adam was flooded with supportive messages from fans who wished him well.
‘Please get well soon, Adam. Your health comes first and your fans know and understand that xxx’, commented mishysaxby70.
‘Absolutely the best decision. Your tribe will gladly wait ❤️’, added susansukie67.
Earlier this year, Adam was due to perform gigs in Liverpool, Guildford, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Southend, and Cambridge but had to cancel them due to an inflamed throat.
Singer Adam has enjoyed a career spanning four decades, and he’s released 22 hit singles.
The Dog Eat Dog hitmaker has also won a Brit Award, two Ivor Novello Awards, plus several other accolades.
