Fabulous’ fashion editors share their must-have Christmas wish lists including designer bag dupe that is £365 cheaper

WE spend the entire year eyeing items to add to our Christmas lists, but when December arrives and we’re asked the dreaded question: “What do you want?” it suddenly feels impossible to answer.

And if you’re the gift-giver, it can be tough to navigate what to get the fashion-forward person in your life.

Fear not, the Fabulous fashion team have been making notes and created their ultimate wish lists from our favourite it-brands of the season to give you some gift-giving inspiration.

Card holder, £37, & Other Stories – BUY NOW

Cardigan, £130, Boden – BUY NOW

This year, I’ve put items on my wish list that I’ve had my eye on for a long time.

Fashion-wise, I need some practical pieces such as a new trench coat and trainers – real wardrobe staples that I know I’ll wear a lot.

And I’m also obsessed with this oh-so cute cardigan from Boden.

A notebook always comes in handy – I love this Anthropologie X Papier one – and my travelcard holder is looking a little worse for wear, so this & Other Stories number is the perfect replacement.

A couple of months ago, I fell in love with this Loewe candle – at £85, it really is a splurge item, but it’s nice to treat yourself to something fancy at this time of year!

And, finally, I love cheese, so why not celebrate with a plate that really says how I feel most of the time?

My Christmas wish list includes both things I need to replenish and things I just hope to find under the tree.

I’ve been after a simple black, chuck-everything-in-it bag for a while and I love this JW Pei suede tote – it’s a fab DeMellier bag dupe – while I’ve been on the hunt for a tennis bracelet with round stones for ages.

Then I need my “essentials” replaced, like my perfume, face cream and slippers – my current pair barely even resemble slippers, so some new ones would be ideal please, Santa!

A cosy knit and a duvet coat finish off my extravagant list.

I can’t wait for the big day!

My Christmas wish list is all about the things that I can never justify buying for myself.

If I even get one thing on this “dream big” list, I will be over the moon!

I’m doing a coast-to-coast trek in Costa Rica next February, so this Apple watch will tell me exactly what ground I have covered, as well as tracking my health.

I’m also a sucker for anything smelly – give me posh candle or a designer perfume and we will be friends for life!

Plus, I’m loving these OG (that’s Old Guard) SL72 trainers (which I actually wore the first time around in green), this designer cushion from John Lewis and these elegant Missoma pearl earrings.

My gang will be spoilt for choice for what to buy me!

Vieve The Signature Candle, £45 – BUY NOW

Jeans, £90, Maebe – BUY NOW

My family struggles to know what to get me for Christmas because I tend to impulse-buy.

So this year, I’ve made a mental note of a few things I’ve held off on buying.

I’ve been eyeing up the Anine Bing hoodie and Maebe jeans, which were super-hard to get hold of until a recent restock.

Tracey has also inspired me to try the triangular scarf trend, and this Zara one is a budget-friendly option.

I don’t need any more coats, but this faux fur number has been catching my eye since it launched.

I also like to ask for top-ups of my favourite beauty items, including my go-to scent, Glossier You, as well as Vieve candles.

Let’s hope Santa is feeling extra generous this year!

Christmas Fashion Tips from an Expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, Fashion Editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.
AVOID: Christmas jumpersNo longer a novelty gag, they’re now gone back to being naff and have no place at a festive party.By all means, go all in for Christmas Jumper Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.
WEAR: BurgundyYou can’t escape burgundy at this time of year and it’s a luxury, deep and rich colour that is a welcome break from Santa-red at Christmas.Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.
AVOID: PJsThe trend of feather trimmed co-ords has had its day and is so dated.Don’t pull out your hair plucked pair this year, and don’t get a new set, instead still go for the satin two-piece but just steer clear of the plumes.
WEAR: Sequin DressTry to switch up sequins slightly by wearing them with a different texture or colour, eg a sequin skirt with a sleek knit. But when you’re really stuck on what to wear reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.
AVOID: Sequin blazerNothing worse than showing up to a festive do looking like the hired entertainment.Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and Strictly judges, instead always reach for a classic tux style or velvet.
WEAR: Bling trousersLast party season embellished jeans with diamante bling had a moment, and this year they’re going to be as much of a hit.If you don’t want gemstones pinging off wherever you go then try metallic, PU trousers.
