People are realising they’ve been tying dressing gowns wrong for years & the right way means it’ll never pop open

MANY people like snuggling up in their cosy dressing gowns, particularly in the chilly winter months.

But did you know that you may have been tying your robe wrong for years?

A woman has claimed you should tie your dressing gown at the front, not the backtiktok/@oneofakindlevi

She claims it prevents the gown popping opentiktok/@oneofakindlevi

A woman shared how she discovered a new method that prevents you from “busting out” of your robe.

Levi-Mariah uploaded a video saying: “I was today’s years old when I found out how to tie my dressing gown properly.

“Who else know this?”

On her @oneofakindlevi account she showed how she used to wrap the tie fully around her body and tie in a bow at the front.

However, her new method saw her using the belt only through the front of her robe.

She demonstrated putting the belt through the loops at the side but at the front of her dressing gown not around the back.

She was then able to tightly pull the gown shut and fasten in a bow, without the robe popping open.

Levi-Mariah added: “No more robe busting open.

“Who else knew this was the way to do it?

“Now I’ve done it this way I’m never going back.

“My dressing gown has never felt better.”

Her video has divided opinion among dressing gown wearers, who flocked to the comments to give their views.

One said: “Looks more comfortable this way but never knew this.”

Another added: “il try that.”

Many people also pointed out how her new method helped to cinch her waist in a flattering way too.

However, one wrote: “nah will stick to the old way.”

A second agreed: “what a faff.”

Experts reveal how often you should be washing your dressing down

IT turns out that we aren’t washing our dressing gowns enough.

Prepare to be shocked, as experts at Boux Avenue revealed how often we should be washing our dressing gowns – and it’s much less than many of us are likely doing.
According to those at underwear chain Boux Avenue, your dressing gown actually needs washing after just four wears – yes, you heard that correctly.
But it’s not just to ensure that your loungewear stays smelling fresh, it is to avoid bacteria growing inside too.
The lingerie experts said: “Did you know that your dressing gown actually needs washing after 4 wears.
We know this may shock you, most of us are guilty of wearing them for a lot longer.
“One of the main reasons to wash your dressing gowns more often, is for hygiene reasons – any more and you risk allowing bacteria to grow on it. No thank you!”
