Sabrina Carpenter said goodbye to a sexy summer and hello to the fabulous festive season in her epic new Netflix special, A Nonsense Christmas.
The hit US singer, nominated for six Grammys, is now making a splash on TV screens with her ‘first-ever variety music special full of holiday hits, unexpected duets and comedic cameos’.
The 50-minute episode – named after a song on her 2023 Christmas EP Fruitcake – includes guest stars such as
She introduces the show by monologuing: ‘You could have been anywhere tonight, spending time with family, helping the less fortunate.
‘But instead, you’re here, half-watching a big screen, while scrolling social media on a smaller screen. And for that, I’m forever grateful.’
She then joked: ‘There are comedy specials, and there are music specials, and there are holiday specials.

‘But who does musical comedy holiday specials? A lot of people. But do those specials have celebrity guests? Yes, they do! Everyone with a musical comedy holiday special does them with celebrity guests, and this is one of those!’
And it was a star-studded voyage including collabs with Tyla, Kali Uchis, and Shania Twain as well as cameos from Cara Delevingne, Quinta Brunson and Sean Astin – name a few.
In particular, fans could not get over The Taste hitmaker’s explosive duet with Chappell Roan, who was right up in the charts with Sabrina in 2024 with hits such as Good Luck Babe and HOT TO GO.
The dynamic duo did a cover of Wham’s Last Christmas – one of the most popular Christmas songs around.
All in all, Sabrina’s mega-popularity, Christmas cheer, witty humour and out-of-this-world talent created the perfect mix of holiday joy and fans simply cannot stop raving about the special.
‘Can I just say, this is the smartest career move she’s made?’ @ctrl_sedgick wrote on X.

The special comes just days after the news broke that she and Irish actor Barry Keoghan had reportedly decided to end their relationship after one year together.
A source told People: ‘They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break.’
As Sabrina’s career goes from strength to strength, the star has also made quite the impression during her live tour, which is well-known for its provocative nature.
