Joe Swash took to Instagram to show the damage done to his car after getting into a nasty collision with a lorry.

The 42-year-old TV star shared a video on his story of deep scratches in the side of his grey car before panning up to a massive lorry halted just by the side of it.

‘I [got] hit by a lorry!!!! Done the side of my car!!!!’ he captioned the shocking video.

After alarming fans, the EastEnders actor later took the video down and quickly rushed to reassure them that he was safe and sound in a follow-up post.

‘Don’t worry I’m ok! You should have seen the lorry! Lol,’ he wrote on a grey background.

He offered no further details or updates about what exactly happened during the traffic incident, or if the matter was being taken any further.

The Mickey Miller actor is currently starring in a Beauty and the Beast pantomime in Dunstable’s The Grove.

His wife, Stacey Solomon and their three children – Belle, Rose and Rex – went to watch him on stage just hours before the crash, according to The Sun.

The actor, who appeared uninjured after the scare, spoke to Luton Today about starring the panto: ‘I’ve never quite made it to Prince Charming level yet. I’m playing a character called Flip Flop.

‘At Christmas, that’s the best character. My kids, they’re going to come down and they’re going to watch it. I’m going to make sure they all laugh.’

He added: ‘I haven’t done panto for quite a long time now, so it’ll be nice to come back, reconnect with the scene, because we’re so lucky in England. It’s such a fantastic tradition that we’ve got that, we’re the only ones that really do it.

‘And there’s no better way of getting into the Christmas spirit than watching a panto.’

The couple made headlines last month after Stacey appeared in tears after reportedly rowing with Joe Swash before flying out to Las Vegas.

After the emotional argument with her husband of two years, she was seen being comforted by the camera crew while Joe ‘stormed down’ the road looking ‘upset’, per The Sun.

The X Factor star was headed to Las Vegas on a brand trip with fellow stars like I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins.

Soon after, she shared several snaps from the fun getaway, telling followers she was ‘feeling free’ in a heartfelt post.

Metro has reached out to Joe Swash’s representatives for comment.
