A new King or Queen of the jungle is about to be crowned, as the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! final is underway.

Wagatha Christie icon Coleen Rooney, Strictly star Reverend Richard Coles and McFly’s Danny Jones have beat the likes of Maura Higgins, GK Barry and Oti Mabuse and made it to the final.

They’ve gone weeks without any luxuries, including a proper shower, and have taken on Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s grim bushtucker trials, and now, one is about to emerge victorious.

‘Now just three remain in the fight,’ Dec said at the start of the show.

‘Tonight you crown your king or queen.’

The new champion is following in the footsteps of Sam Thompson who won I’m A Celebrity last year, and now hosts spin-off programme Unpacked.

The latest odds by Betway showed Danny standing at 1/2 to win, while Coleen was at 15/8 and Richard at 12/1.

And we now know who has come in third place, as Ant and Dec announced Richard finished in third place, leaving either Coleen or Danny to be crowned winner.

Leaving the camp in third place, he told Ant and Dec that his time on the show ‘was not what you think it’s going to be’.

‘I thought there would be luxury spas off camera,’ he laughed, adding ‘it was much harder than I thought it would be’.

‘The lows were lower and the highs were higher,’ he said, before saying that his campmates made it the best part, and reflecting on his particularly surprising friendship with social media star GK Barry.

‘She made me laugh everyday,’ he said.

‘Sheer joy of being with other people, testing yourself beyond your normal living and just being in the jungle,’ Richard commented when asked about his ‘lasting memory’ from I’m A Celebrity.

After being announced as the final three, Richard had said: ‘I can’t believe I’m one of the final three! I never thought I would make it this far.’

Danny added: ‘It feels amazing, I didn’t expect this at all.’

Tearing up, Coleen said: ‘Knowing that I have made it to the final makes me proud.

‘I’m a proud mum, I’m a proud wife, I’m a proud daughter, it’s very rare that I’m proud of myself, so it means a lot.’

Ahead of the elimination from camp, the trio were forced to fight for their feast with a final bushtucker trial, battling snakes to get stars through their cages.

After winning six stars – for their starters and main courses – they had a second tower of terror and faced spiders, fish guts and critters to win their drinks and desserts, picking fruit cake, mac and cheese, and bruschetta after a successful challenge.

The semi-final on Saturday night saw Dancing On Ice judge Oti voted out in fourth place, after the highly-anticipated Celebrity Cyclone.

Fans were left devastated, saying she was ‘robbed’, while even Rebekah Vardy – who has made her feelings about Coleen following in her footsteps in the jungle heard loud and clear – declared Oti her ‘winner’.

In a bittersweet interview, Oti reflected on her time in Australia, saying: ‘I’m happy… I expected to be nervous the whole time, but when you’re in there, my goal was just to focus and get the job done. It was so important that we got to eat.’

She continued: ‘I enjoyed everything. The conversations, getting to know these people, getting personal, getting to open up. You come out as a stronger, different person.

‘We cried a lot. It never stopped. I didn’t know I was a crier but now I know. I will never get to do this experience again. It was to unique. From the moment I jumped out that helicopter – I’ve been so grateful.’

The cast of this year’s I’m A Celebrity has also included Melvin Odoom, N-Dubz singer Tulisa, boxing legend Barry McGuigan, and Loose Women star Jane Moore.

Radio star Dean McCullough and Corrie’s Alan Halsall completed the line-up.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is available to watch on ITVX.
