Netflix viewers have praised Subservience, the platform’s latest sci-fi thriller starring Megan Fox.

Megan, 38, stars as Alice, a lifelike robot who is purchased by Nick (Michele Morrone) after his wife becomes ill and he struggles with solo parenting his two young children.

The film was initially released in September 2024 and was given mixed reviews from critics, averaging a 50% ranking from the film aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics initially dismissed the film with the reviews split in half about whether the film was ‘rotten’ or ‘fresh’.

It was suggested by some crisis that the film was a ‘run of the mill sci-fi’ with another suggesting: ‘there isn’t much to recommend this bare-bones sci-fi thriller.’

Despite the mixed reviews from critics, the film has had a new lease of life on Netflix as viewers have praised the creepy thriller.
