Furious I’m A Celebrity fans have blasted Channel 5 over a debate on Jeremy Vine’s show about Coleen Rooney.
The wife of footballer Wayne Rooney, 38, came in second place on the ITV reality series, with McFly singer Danny Jones announced as King of the Jungle.
In the moments leading up to the result, Coleen remarked on how proud she was of herself, saying: ‘Knowing that I have made it to the final makes me proud.
‘I’m a proud mum, I’m a proud wife, I’m a proud daughter, it’s very rare that I’m proud of myself, so it means a lot.’
Just days earlier, she’d given viewers one of the most emotional moments of the series when she reunited with her two youngest sons.
While Wayne and their two eldest had to remain in England, her two younger boys, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, surprised her in the jungle for a heartwarming reunion.
Danny’s son Cooper, six, also made an appearance, as he shocked his dad with another tearful reunion – however, viewers have been left outraged after a debate on the Jeremy Vine show appeared to only focus on Coleen’s children missing school for their time in Australia.

Inviting viewers to share their thoughts, a post on the programme’s X page read: ‘Was Coleen Rooney right to pull her children from school to visit her on I’m a Celeb?
‘She faced criticism from MPs ahead of last night’s final after her six and eight-year-old sons reportedly spent two weeks in Australia.
‘Is this an adventure worth missing class for?’
It sparked immense backlash, with follower @bl4zedm3dusa writing: ‘Danny did the same?’
‘Did the same MPs criticise Danny Jones and his wife for taking their son out of school too? Or is it just female contestants who are in the firing line?’ @MrsHSSmith wrote.

‘And Danny Jones’s son, or is it just Coleen Rooney you’re discussing?!!!’ @TamdhuL said.
@cynthguthrie questioned: ‘Would you ask the same question of a man?’ to which @JeanSarurai replied: ‘The winner also had his son there, but the focus is on Coleen only.’
‘Obviously not, as Danny Jones’ son was also taken out of school! Double standards,’ @Babster1 also replied.
Several others rushed to defend Coleen, with @carla_jjade writing: ‘I’m pretty sure they are her children and she seems to be doing a great job. Far more beneficial to be having a holiday with the family and watching mummy be amazing MPs should focus on the kids that genuinely need watching over.’
‘Coleen sounds like a great mum,’ @sarah_owl3 agreed, while @juloof1 said: ‘It’s a one off ffs let her kids enjoy this moment with their mom.’

One caller even rung into the show and called out the apparent double standards.According to MailOnline, a viewer called Shelley said: ‘Why is nobody criticising Danny who won?’
‘His six-year-old was out of school and in the jungle. I’m not hearing criticism for him! It’s all on Coleen. I don’t see what the problem is.
‘Plenty of other people had their kids taken out and there’s not been a criticism.
‘It just seems to be because it’s Coleen Rooney and everybody is having a pile in because it’s her.’
