Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has shared an emotional tribute to the One Direction star almost two months after his death.

The Strip That Down singer died on October 16 aged 31 after falling from a hotel room balcony in Argentina.

His funeral took place in the Home Counties last month attended by his former bandmates, Girls Aloud star Cheryl with who he shares son Bear, and his influencer girlfriend Cassidy who he began dating in 2022.

Cassidy, 25, shared some home video footage of herself and Payne on her TikTok page in her first post on the social media platform since his death.

The social media star shared some emotional moments between herself and the late Night Changes singer, which was set to Mazzy Star’s 1993 song Fade Into You.

The video included several brief clips of the couple in their home, including them dancing in the lounge with laser lights on the ceiling, petting their dog, eating pizza in a kitchen, and Liam jokingly dragging his girlfriend around by her feet.

Other footage included Kate and Liam posing together at Disneyland, the singer bowling, the couple sledging down a hill, and them kissing and sitting in a restaurant.

Before the end of the video, Liam could be seen lying down in a child’s chair and drawing his girlfriend before the video ended with the couple sharing a hug and kiss.

Kate simply captioned her post: ‘I love you.’

After the singer’s death, Kate took to Instagram to share her pain over the loss of her boyfriend.

She wrote: ‘I don’t even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can’t put into words.

‘I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now. You brought so much happiness and positivity to everyone – millions of fans, your family, friends, and especially me.

‘You are so incredibly loved. You are – because I can’t say were – my best friend, the love of my life, and everyone you touched felt just as special as I did.

‘Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into. None of this feels real, and I can’t wrap my head around this new reality of not having you here. I’m struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side.’

She added: ‘Together, we got to be kids again, always finding joy in the smallest things. Liam, you had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I’ve lost the best part of myself. I can’t imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life.’

Shortly after Payne’s death, Cassidy shared that the couple had ‘planned to marry’ in the next year.
