Snoop Dogg has thrown his hat into the ring as a possible Gregg Wallace replacement on MasterChef.
Last week Wallace, 60, was hit with a string of accusations regarding his behaviour while judging the BBC cooking show and has stepped away from his TV duties while an investigation is underway.
Now, it’s been revealed who else but Drop It Like It’s Hot hitmaker Snoop Dogg, 53, genuinely seems keen to take up the role from Wallace alongside his celebrity chef pal Gordon Ramsay.
In an unexpected turn of events, the California Gurls rapper has said the role could be the ‘perfect opportunity’ for him to work on a UK show – something he’s ‘always’ wanted.
‘You better believe Snoop could be the new MasterChef judge,’ he told The Mirror.
‘My boy Gordon [Ramsay] judges on the US version of the show, and I know he would back me to be able to judge on the UK version.

‘He knows I am not playing when it comes to food. He knows I can cook – I have even given him some tips.
‘I hosted a cooking show over here (Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party) and I have always been vocal about wanting to work on a UK show. I love the place – and for real, this could be the perfect opportunity.’
The more we think about it, the more we love it.
This comes after 13 people – including Ulrika Jonsson and Kirstie Allsopp – brought accusations against Wallace, dated over a 17-year-period.
Accusations include claims he groped three people in different incidents, that he ‘mimicked sex acts’ and walked around the studio almost ‘completely naked’.
Wallace and his lawyers have denied the allegations, saying ‘it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature’.
It is not clear yet whether Wallace will return to the series or not.
Gregg’s MasterChef co-presenter John Torode spoke out in a statement after the allegations came to light, and didn’t throw much support behind Wallace.
Torode also said he will ‘continue to be part of’ MasterChef, which could mean there might only be one presenter opening if Wallace doesn’t return.

‘Since last Friday I have been away filming MasterChef overseas. I love my job, and I love MasterChef. I love being part of it and will continue to be part of it,’ Torode wrote.
‘During the last few days, I’ve been trying to make the best cookery programme, so being busy making the show and caring for our contestants has allowed me little time to think about anything else, but that has been hard.
‘The thought of anyone who has appeared on our show not having a brilliant experience is awful to hear, and I have found the recent press reports truly upsetting.’
He added: ‘But as I hope everyone appreciates there is an investigation underway, which I fully support, so I cannot make any further comment at this stage and I hope that you all understand and respect my silence on the matter moving forward.’
Despite their long-standing professional relationship, seven years ago Torode declared in a 2021 interview he and Wallace ‘aren’t really friends’.
A source has claimed to The Sun that Torode repeatedly raised concerns to Banijay UK about Wallace’s ‘less savoury behaviour’ but no action was taken.
They said: ‘He repeatedly flagged his behaviour and poor-taste remarks to execs on set and made clear he wasn’t happy. It was never a formal complaint, rather a series of spoken concerns raised.’
While Snoop Dogg fancies his chances in the kitchen, he favourite to replace Wallace on MasterChef is James Martin, who succeeded him as one of the Saturday Kitchen hosts.
