Another Hollywood actor has sent fans well and truly into meltdown after becoming the latest person to debut a new look.

Days after Jacob Elordi’s ‘unrecognizable’ new beard, Austin Butler unveiled his new shaved head last night as he rocked up to the San Francisco International Film Festival.

The 33-year-old officially took the plunge and swapped his traditionally tousled hair for a much shorter buzzcut, and we can already hear the buzzing from clippers around the world as people try to follow suit.

The Elvis star looked dapper at the star-studded bash, hitting the red carpet in a black suit and smart black shoes.

Unsurprisingly, the internet went wild over Austin’s new look and flooded social media with praise for his transformation.

Flocking to Twitter, Lukkrecia wrote: ‘When you have such a beautiful face and ocean eyes you don’t need hair.’

Rob quipped: Alexa play Buzzcut Season by Lorde.’

Jaz agreed: ‘No matter what he does, he’ll always look good, HOW.’

As JulianeZzz simply added: ‘This facecard is insane.’

It is not clear whether the actor’s new look is for an upcoming role, after he was previously pictured on set of Darren Aronofsky’s new flick, Caught Stealing.

He was in attendance at the swanky bash to celebrate Dune: Part Two director, Denis Villeneuve – who was one of the honorees of the evening.

The filmmaker, who was snubbed over a Golden Globes nomination, took home the Irving M. Levin award for Film Direction at the prestigious event.

Austin has been booked and busy over the last few years, thanks to roles in Elvis, the Bikeriders, Dune: Part Two and Masters of the Air, but he still found time to celebrate Denis’ latest addition to his trophy cabinet.

He was pictured with the director on the red carpet, and later appeared on stage during the ceremony.

Fresh from her Golden Globes recognition for the Substance, Demi Moore was handed the Maria Manetti Shrem award for Acting.

While Jason Reitman was honored with the Nion McEvoy & Leslie Berriman award for Storytelling, and Malcolm Washington – son of Denzel Washington – won the George Gund III award for Virtuosity.
