Ruth Langsford gives blistering assessment of Eamonn Holmes divorce 7 months after split-Meghna Amin-Entertainment – Metro

Ruth Langsford has given an update on her divorce proceedings, nearly seven months after splitting from Eamonn Holmes.

The Loose Women panellist, 64, has said very little about their marriage breaking down, after they announced their shock split in May.

At the time, it was claimed work commitments had resulted in them drifting in ‘different directions’.

Eamonn, 64, has since been pictured in public with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, while Ruth has commented little on their relationship.

She has now however given a scathing comment on their divorce, indicating it’s not going ‘well’.

During a conversation on Tuesday’s Loose Women, Ruth remarked on how ‘selfish’ some parents can be when it comes to making their children pick sides after a divorce.

Her co-star Mariella Frostrup replied: ‘That’s a whole other subject isn’t it, how to divorce well.’

‘Oh tell me about it!’ Ruth quipped, before heading straight to the break.

The other Loose Women and the audience were quick to notice her cheeky comment, as they applauded and cheered her on.

After Ruth and Eamonn announced their split, it had been claimed she’d hired a ‘fierce’ divorce lawyer.

She also commented on how difficult it is going through personal issues in the public eye, while talking to Tommy Fury about his split from Molly-Mae Hague.

Ruth said: ‘It’s a tricky time, as I know, going through all these things in public. Everyone’s got something to say, without knowing the truth.’

In the months following the split, GB News presenter Eamonn and his counsellor girlfriend Katie, 42, have gone on a luxury Mediterranean cruise, with those close to the couple saying they’re very happy together.

In September, it was reported Ruth took her revenge and left him ‘furious’ after she removed his stairlift from their home.

It was said she made the decision to get rid of the £2,000 equipment before Eamonn returned to collect his final belongings from their Surrey mansion.

A source claimed at the time: ‘Ruth has remained quiet and classy. Even when ­people bring up what Eamonn has been up to, she stays silent and just smiles.

‘She thinks that is the best way. She has had a lot of support from her friends.’
