Feuds between bandmates are nothing new, especially for this iconic 80s duo, who have confirmed they are no longer on speaking terms.

After shooting to fame in the late 1980s with their hit singles, When Will I Be Famous and I Owe You Nothing, Bros infamously split up in 1992 after just six years of making music together.

While they briefly reunited in 2017, Matt Goss has confirmed he and his twin brother Luke Goss are ‘not talking’ currently.

With a notoriously rocky relationship, it may not come as no surprise that the brothers are in this predicament, however it seems to have taken a sad turn with Matt, 56, admitting he has ‘tried’ with Luke but now must focus on his own life.

In an interview earlier today, the musician spoke about his complicated relationship with Luke, stating: ‘I really am at peace with myself as a man. I have really tried and that’s all you can do.’

Speaking to host Ranvir Singh of the ITV show Lorraine, Matt said he had ‘tried’ with his brother but said: ‘We are just trying to create things that are much more … Even coming on here, like you worry about it, but I can’t come here and lie.

‘We’re not talking, and it is what it is and if he doesn’t like it, that’s the way it is. I’ve tried but I have to come in and I’m excited about my own life and I’m excited about what I have done in my life.

‘When you consider it to the point it almost breaks you, that’s wrong. So I am just going to be truthful.’

Matt, who appeared on the show to discuss the end of his 10-year Vegas residency ahead of his UK tour, continued to talk about his relationship with Luke, telling Ranvir that he would prefer to keep the details of it private.

‘I’m not gonna into detail, I’m a very discrete person, but I am going to be truthful with where I stand,’ he explained.

The brother’s feud has been a topic of conversation for many years and even the subject of their 2018 documentary Bros: After the Screaming Stops, which featured footage from their brief reunion.

Touching on the process of creating the documentary and the reaction the duo, who are estimated to have sold 16 million records together, Matt said the production helped him find peace.

‘It was difficult to watch it, because it was so dysfunctional in many ways. But what happened afterwards, I realised that people would come up to me, and fellas would come up to me and say: “We are dysfunctional as well”,’ he said.

‘There is a lot of dysfunction in family. In many ways we find comfort from friends because family have that ability to go a little bit too far sometimes and they know the buttons to press.

‘I feel like now I have a whole philosophy within myself that if I do my best, and I know that I can look at myself and say I’ve tried my best … if that doesn’t work, then that’s okay. I have to live my own life as well.’

Despite his admission, Matt told Ranvir that when it comes to any future reconciliation or reunion between the brothers, he believes you should ‘never say never’ and that he would ‘love’ to make music and tour with Luke again.

‘He’s the love of my life and I would love to get on stage with him, but I’ve done my best.’
