Alison Hammond was shocked as I’m A Celeb star Oti Mabuse revealed her scarred legs from her time in the Australian jungle.

The Strictly star, 34, appeared on This Morning to reflect on her time on the hit ITV reality series where she came in fourth place – behind runners-up Reverend Richard Coles, WAG Coleen Rooney and winner McFly’s Danny Jones.

She was reunited with her husband Marius Lepure as well as her mum and one-year-old tot as she trekked back across the world.

The media personality was a firm fan favourite as she contributed to camp life and had meaningful conversations with her campmates such as her experience becoming a mother to a premature baby.

Now she’s back on home turf and recovering from the high-intensity experience which includes plenty of heart-pounding encounters with all manners of terrifying creepy crawlies.

And her time there certainly left a mark, as she showed This Morning co-hosts Alison and Dermot O’Leary.

During her appearance on today’s episode of the ITV show, she started recounting what it’s like to undertake a trial.

‘Usually, we all learnt to close your eyes and it doesn’t exist but [in this task] you have to look at the star and the ants and scorpions and crickets all want to come inside your mouth,’ she explained.

‘Do you get bitten at all on these things?’ Dermot asked.

To which Oti replied, as she showed the presenters her bare legs: ‘Look at my legs, look at my legs.’

An agape Alison asked: ‘Is that from all the ants?’ and as Oti confirmed she let out a gasp, adding: ‘It’s actually scarred you!’

‘Do they just go, don’t worry it’ll just heal?’ Dermot asked as Oti shared the show’s casual response to the bites.

‘Yeah they’re Australian, they say that’s fine, you’ll deal with that it’s normal.’

During her time in the jungle, Oti also opened up about her plans to eventually leave work to concentrate on raising a family.

‘Because I’m a dancer, it was really difficult to say when I would start having a family because my body is my job and also you have to be financially ready,’ she told campmate Coleen Rooney,

She continued: ‘Eventually I’ll have to give all of this up and just dedicate my life to them,’ which Coleen voiced her support for.

‘I think there’s this preconceived notion that when you’re a housewife you’ve got no ambition or it’s easy for you.’

On her departure from the show, she shared a heartfelt reflection on her time: ‘I’m happy… I expected to be nervous the whole time, but when you’re in there, my goal was just to focus and get the job done. It was so important that we got to eat.’

She continued: ‘I enjoyed everything. The conversations, getting to know these people, getting personal, getting to open up. You come out as a stronger, different person.’
