Ian Hislop has obtained injuries after being hit by an electric bike.
The 64-year-old BBC star hurt his head in the accident, and is wearing a large bandage on the place he was struck.
On Wednesday evening, Have I Got News For You’s presenter was crossing the road when he collided with a speedy bike.
Ian was given medical attention, and had the dressing applied. He is now said to be okay.
This was confirmed in a statement by editor Ian’s magazine Private Eye to The Sun.
The bandage was visible as he attended an event later that evening with his wife of 36 years Victoria Hislop.

This comes just months after Ian was travelling in a taxi when the rear window smashed. He was sitting in the back seat of the time, but no injuries were reported. The incident took place near a junction on Oxford Street, close to where Private Eye’s offices are located.
It was initially believed the London black taxi had been hit by a bullet, but the Metropolitan Police later confirmed there is ‘no evidence of a firearms discharge at this time’.
In an October episode of Have I Got News For You, he said: ‘I always say at this point I’m glad to be here, but this week I really mean it.’

He also revealed the question that the police asked him during the investigation.
‘There was one high point when a policeman investigating me said “this may be a silly question, but is there anyone who might have a grudge against you?”‘
Ian has been team captain on the BBC comedy current affairs quiz show since its first episode in 1990, and has been the editor of Private Eye magazine since 1986.
