This Morning stars Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary are set to make a grand appearance in a new sequel coming to Netflix.

Alison, 49, and Dermot, 51, are set to play fictionalised versions of themselves in an upcoming film, Bank of Dave 2: The Loan Ranger.

Despite numerous television appearances between them, this will be the first time that both Alison and Dermot have appeared in a film before.

Alison did appear in  Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation in 2018, but this was just a vocal role rather than an in-person role.

The daytime TV presenters could be seen in the trailer for an upcoming Netflix film nodding on the This Morning set as they chatted to Rory Kinnear in character as Dave Fishwick.

The pair were just two of the many stars to appear in the trailer which was jam-packed with talent including Amit Shah, Dan Folger, Rob Delaney, Chrissy Metz, and Hugh Bonneville.

Bank of Dave was one of the movies we were obsessed with in 2023 which told the true story of Dave Fishwick (played by Kinnear) who set up Burnley Savings and Loans Limited.

The heartwarming story focuses on one man’s dream to turn his savings company into a real community bank that helps businesses in the local area.

The self-made millionaire must battle London’s financial institutions in order to compete for the first banking licence in more than 150 years.

The synopsis for the sequel reveals that the story will take place two years after the first film.

‘Two years after founding his own bank, local hero Dave Fishwick takes on the predatory payday lenders bringing misery to his town Burnley,’ the synopsis read.

The first film earned an impressive 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with reviewers and critics praising this real-life story.

Bank of Dave 2: The Loan Ranger will be released on Netflix on January 10, 2025.
