Christine McGuinness has revealed that she and Paddy McGuinness have a clever way of operating during the festive season to ensure their children aren’t ‘overwhelmed’.
Christine, 36, and Paddy, 51, split in 2022 after being tying the knot over a decade earlier in 2011.
Despite splitting many years ago, Christine revealed that she will still be spending the festive season with her ex for the sake of their three children, twins Penelope and Leo, 11, and Felicity, eight.
‘The last thing we want to do is upset our children over Christmas, so we’ll make sure we’re all together,’ she told Woman’s Own.
‘It will be a quiet one. We always try to keep it quiet, because the children can get quite overwhelmed with the changes.
‘So we try to keep it like a normal day but with presents.’

Earlier this year the television presenter revealed that they still live together and people who came to visit them at home may well think they are still a couple.
‘If someone didn’t know our situation and came to our house and spent the day with us, they would not have a clue [that we aren’t together],’ he said.
‘We get on well, we live together and co-parent. We get the lawyers back and forth but that’s separate. If Christine met someone else, I’d be supportive.
‘For now, we’re happy with how things are, living together and helping each other balance work and kids.’

Christine has previously revealed that she has begun dating again, which is something completely new for her.
She told The Sunday Mirror: ‘I started dating in June, and it’s the first time I’ve ever dated in my life, which is really scary. Even when I was younger I would end up seeing people I was already friends with.
‘So going on dates with people you don’t already know is brand new to me and I am doing that in my thirties for the first time.
‘I avoided doing it for as long as possible because I know I am in no position to be in a serious relationship.’
She also told Best Magazine that she and Paddy have a no-talk policy when it comes to their dating lives – unless it involves their children.
‘We don’t discuss it an awful lot, as we’re trying to be respectful to each other,’ she said.

In September she revealed she’s been ‘dating a mystery partner since June’.
Christine told Daily Mail: ‘I met them on my birthday through mutual friends and we’ve been dating since June. It’s someone I know. I wasn’t thinking anything at the time but we kept in touch and it’s so nice and laidback.’
She then explained that she is keeping the relationship low key and they don’t have any labels yet: ‘After having a relationship in the public eye for so long I’m not sure I want the relationship to be public. I’ve only ever known what it was like to have a relationship that’s in the public. This is nice.’
