As usual, Marks and Spencer have hit the brief hard, with their Sparkle Kitten Heel Slingback Shoes – which have been dubbed ‘fabulous’ and the ‘best purchase of the year’ by shoppers online.

The M&S Collection shoes come in three colours: Black Mix, Opaline Mix and Dark Red – although you’ll have to be quick if you’re keen to get your hands on a pair, as the latter two colourways are already out of stock online.

The retailer says: “These sparkly shoes are made to shine on the dance floor.

“They have a mid-height kitten heel and a secure slingback design with an adjustable buckle fastening.

“A pointed toe brings a sophisticated feel.”

The shoes are a regular fit in a slip-on style, ideal for festive evenings out.

They are priced at a very reasonable £39.50.

And reviews on the Marks and Spencer website were glowing with praise for the kitten heels.
