We’re sizes 10 and 18 and did the best Christmas haul in Sainsbury’s – our outfit picks are festive must-haves

WHEN it comes to outfits, Christmas time is all about sparkles and festive colours.

Sequins dresses and hints of red or green are the perfect wardrobe staples for party nights out and sitting down for your turkey dinner.

But when you manage to find something that’s bloat-friendly for all the pigs in blankets and Christmas cocktails too, it’s even better.

We decided to track down the best festive partywear on a budget that are comfy and suit all figures.

I’m a plus-sized size 18 with big boobs while my 44-year-old work bestie Lynn is a slim size 10.

Together, we launched our For EveryBODY campaign to find some of the best looks from the high street to see what looks great on all shapes.

We scour the supermarkets and high street stores to find crackers that flatter both of our ages and shapes and to see if there really is something for every body.

Sainsbury’s was top of the list for our seasonal special to find some gorgeous options on a budget.

Their in-house fashion brand Tu Clothing is a fan-favourite for savvy fashionistas.

And they’re very size inclusive, with most items available in sizes eight to 24.

First up, we bagged a red sleeveless midaxi dress for £30 and both went true to size.

The clever asymmetric stitching and thick satin fabric ensures the frock skims all the right places but is flattering at the same time.

It screams Mrs Claus, but fashionable, and will look perfect over Christmas.

But if you’re on the shorter side like myself, you will need a chunky pair of heels as it fits longer than described.

Next, we paired a £25 bronze sequins midi skirt with a £22 brown sleeveless jumper.

The skirt is a versatile wardrobe staple that can be paired with a bodysuit and heels for a fancier occassion.

But for extra comfort, we opted for the jumper to create a comfortable look that still looks classy and Christmassy.

And a Christmas haul just wouldn’t be complete without a pair of festive pyjamas.

We were lucky enough to bag a pair of the viral candy cane satin PJs before they completely sold out.

The temptation is always there to size up in nightwear for a comfier sleep, but this set is a generous fit so there’s no need.

Priced at £24, the pyjamas also come complete with a cute eye mask which makes it the perfect gift – even if it’s to you, from you.
