Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan recently reunited and discussed their overlapping careers in a special interview.
The pair are both in the running for awards on separate projects this year, with Timothee starring in A Complete Unknown and Dune: Part Two while Ronan starred in The Outrun and Blitz.
But they’ve starred together on three past projects, including Lady Bird and Little Women.
In a special event hosted by the British Film Institute and Vanity Fair at the BFI Southbank on Wednesday, Timothee recalled a funny story from the time the pair spent together for Little Women.
He said: ‘I also remember on Little Women, I had Beautiful Boy coming out at that time and that was basically the second “big-ish movie” I was in, and I was having a hard time getting people on the phone to help me figure out my schedule where I was going to go.’
He continues, explaining his busy schedule at the time: ‘I wanted to do a regional tour and visit places in the states that were affected by that story. I was in my trailer, and I guess I was supposed to be in the chair at a certain time and I was on the phone trying to do this thing and I get this bang on my trailer door, really intensely.’

He went on: ‘I was thinking someone died, and I opened the door and its Saoirse in a bald cap. She’s like, “Get your a-s in the f-king trailer right now! They’re waiting for you in the hair and makeup.” And I always just love that memory.’
Saoirse and the audience laughed at the funny memory as Timothee grinned mischievously.
Even though the pair had never met prior to Lady Bird, Timothee recalled being told about Ronan by Emery Cohen, who had worked with her on the 2016 film Brooklyn.

‘I kept hearing this name “Saoirse, Saoirse” and didn’t put two and two together when I saw the name spelled out, because I’m an ignorant American, but then we got to work and I was just blown away immediately,’ he said.
It was obvious throughout the event that there was plenty of warmth and friendship between the pair.
Timothee made headlines recently for taking method dressing to the next level at the New York premiere of the new Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.
The actor sported brand new blonde locks and a tiny mustache, along with an oversized scarf and beanie.
He also remained stoic and withdrawn as cameras flashed, clearly channeling Dylan’s famously cool demeanour.
Fans were startled by the bizarrely different look, which is nearly the exact replica of an outfit Dylan himself wore to a 2003 Sundance Film Festival screening of his film Masked and Anonymous.

This was not an out of character stunt for the actor, who immersed himself so deeply into the character that his name even appeared as ‘Bob Dylan’ on the film’s call sheets.
The actor isolated himself entirely for three months: ‘No visitors, no friends, no reps, no nothing,’ he said, because he was so intent on capturing the essence of Bob Dylan in his performance.
‘It sounds pretentious,’ he admitted to Rolling Stone, ‘but panic fueled me. I didn’t want to lose a moment of discovery as the character because of my phone or any distraction, so while I was in it, that was my eternal focus.’
