Outnumbered fans have been waiting a long eight years to be reunited with the Brockman family.
But they are officially coming back for a one-off Christmas special that will air on Boxing Day on the BBC.
The sitcom first aired in 2007 and followed fllustered parents Hugh Dennis as Pete Brockman and Claire Skinner as Sue Brockman juggling family life with running a household.
Now, though, they will be contending with a different type of chaos as their children, Tyger Drew-Honey as Jake Brockman, Daniel Roche as Ben Brockman and Ramona Marquez as Karen Brockman, are young adults.
The exact plot is being kept under wraps but we know there is a new young member of the family, the Brockmans have downsized and bought a new house and Pete will have a tough conversation.
And much like their characters, the cast have all been busy over the past few years. Here’s what they’ve been up to since Outnumbered.
Hugh Dennis as Pete Brockman
Hugh has gone on to act in other hit BBC shows including Fleabag (Picture: BBC)
Since the show finished, the actor has continued TV work and is best known for his roles in Not Going Out, Fleabag and The Great British Dig.
The actor has also gone through a divorce since the show ended. Hugh and his ex-wife – who he shares two children with – Catherine Abbot-Anderson began dating in 1996 and split in 2015.
Hugh is now with Claire who played Sue in Outnumbered, turning their on-screen romance into a real-life relationship. The co-stars revealed in 2018 that they began dating in 2017, after their splits from their respective partners.
Claire Skinner as Sue Brockman

Claire has continued acting work and since the show ended she has most notably appeared in Ted Lasso, Next of Kin, and Vanity Fair.
In 2016, the star went through a divorce with her husband director Charles Palmer who is the father of her two sons.
In 2019, Claire spoke about her Outnumbered co-star Hugh on Lorraine, calling their romantic relationship a ‘lovely little life surprise’.
Hugh also told the Mail on Sunday at the time: ‘I am very, very happy, we are so very happy. It’s nice and yes, it’s so lovely.’
Tyger Drew-Honey as Jake Brockman
Tyger has tried his hand at reality TV, including Celebs Go Dating (Picture: BBC)
Since Outnumbered ended, Tyger notably appeared in Cuckoo as a key cast member, Dylan Thompson in another family sitcom.
The actor has also appeared in Citizen Khan and several reality TV shows including Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity MasterChef.
The actor later told Metro.co.uk in 2021 that the dating show was a terrible idea for him. ‘I had such bad anxiety about how I was going to come across. I hated every minute of it and, yeah, my chat-up lines were kind of s**t,’ though he added: ‘I have a girlfriend now who I love very much.’
It’s unclear if Tyger is still in a relationship with Fluke Chotphuang, who he dated for several years and was last photographed with in 2023.
Daniel Roche as Ben Brockman

Since Outnumbered ended, the actor has focused on his studies and began his undergraduate degree at King’s College London, where he played for the Rugby Club.
The actor made headlines in 2017 when he was snapped chanting ‘ketamine’ at Boomtown festival and again last year when he posed with ‘bags of marijuana’ on holiday.
In 2022 he spoke about taking time away from the industry to Vice: ‘I got scouted and I ended up in the Wasps academy. This was the same time that GCSEs were happening, then A-levels, then university, so acting was always going to have to take a backseat for a while. We told my agent to not actively put me out there for jobs.’
He then revealed that he’s ready to get back into acting. ‘I just want to get back into the swing of it, really. I’m not saying I want to be standing on stage with an Oscar for best actor. Ultimately, you want to spend your life doing what you enjoy and I’ve always enjoyed acting.’
Ramona Marquez as Karen Brockman
Ramona has kept a low profile Gen Z lifestyle including being sober (Picture: BBC)
The youngest member of the cast was just six when she began playing Karen in the series. In 2019 it was revealed that Ramona has gone on to study Spanish and Mandarin at the University of Manchester.
In 2020 she contributed to Florence Given’s book Women Don’t Owe You Pretty and revealed that she was bisexual in the piece that she wrote.
The child star is rather low-key and sells clothes on Depop, gets tattoos, and shares her down-to-earth life on social media like most other 23-year-olds.

Outnumbered airs on Boxing Day at 9:40pm on BBC One.
