Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks have been snapped seemingly heading away together for the festive season.

After being photographed kissing in public a few months ago, the couple have been at the centre of romance rumours, which only intensified during their respective times on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing.

During her time in the jungle, former Love Island star Maura, 34, spoke about their blossoming relationship, saying they’d been friends for five years before Pete, 36, decided to try his luck and ask her out.

Although she initially thought he was ‘delusional’ Pete’s persistence was eventually successful.

After now finishing their reality TV commitments, the pair have been seen on their way to what appears to be a romantic getaway over Christmas.

The pair were each dressed for comfort, with Maura wearing her curly hair out with a black cropped top and jogging bottom while he was seen in a black and white jumper, black joggers, white trainers and a black beanie.

Pete’s luxury Porsche was also parked nearby.

Although they’ve been spending lots of time together since Maura landed back in the UK from Australia, they haven’t confirmed they are spending time together over the holidays.

But during a recent appearance on This Morning, Maura said that she does want to ‘keep things private’ but added she couldn’t wait to see him when she arrived home.

While on I’m A Celebrity she also addressed speculation about their relationship and said: ‘No, I’m single. People can date and not be in a relationship and take things slow.

‘What’s the point in getting them involved too soon, when you just don’t know where it’s gonna go, you know?’

However, she hilariously quipped despite their best efforts to avoid sparking romance rumours they’d been ‘papped tongues down each other’s necks’.
