Britney Spears shared an emotional milestone with her fans this holiday season: reuniting with her youngest son, Jayden.

The 43-year-old pop icon took to Instagram to share a video commemorating the reunion.

This Christmas marked a significant moment for Spears, as it was the first time in two years she spent time with her son.

Jayden, now 18, and his older brother Sean Preston, 19, relocated to Hawaii last year with their father, Kevin Federline.

Spears has reportedly been working diligently to mend her relationship with her children.

In the video, Britney and Jayden appeared outside a restaurant, standing side-by-side as they smiled for the camera.

In a touching moment, the singer kissed her son on the head. Later, the two were seen inside the cozy restaurant, enjoying the warmth of a crackling fireplace. Jayden greeted Britney’s 42million Instagram followers with a cheerful ‘Hello,’ and both wished viewers a Merry Christmas.

The heartfelt reunion was clearly big for Spears, who expressed her gratitude in the caption of her post: ‘Best Christmas of my life!!!’ she wrote.

‘I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years!!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday… koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!!’

Although her eldest son, Sean Preston, was not part of the celebration, sources say Britney and Jayden are making strides in their relationship.

This reunion follows a series of efforts by Spears to reconnect with her sons.

Earlier this month, an insider revealed to Page Six that the singer and her children are focused on ‘rebuilding their bond.’ The source emphasized that healing family relationships is a process, but they are on the path to becoming ‘super close’ again.

Spears has consistently shared her love and pride for her sons on social media. In September, she posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to both Jayden and Sean Preston, sharing throwback photos and wishing them all the best.

It was reported earlier this month that Jayden visited his mother in Los Angeles, and the pair hung out at her home.

‘Spending time together has made her happy,’ a source told People.

Britney has been paying the father of her two boys biweekly payments of $10,000 (£7,840), and will make her final contribution on November 15.

Her sons, Jayden 18, and Sean, 19, both moved to Hawaii with their father in 2023 and at one point it was reported that Kevin received $40,000 (£31,400) a month from Britney because he had full custody.

After Sean came of age last year, the pop star paid $20,000 (£15,700) per month.

Britney and Kevin divorced in 2007 after a tumultuous romance. The couple met in the summer of 2004 and married by September 2004.

Kevin’s lawyer explained to People that Britney paid for child support until her youngest son finished school.

‘Under California law, child support jurisdiction continues until the minor child reaches the age of 18, or if upon their 18th birthday, they have not yet graduated high school, it continues until they graduate high school, but in no event later than their 19th birthday,’ he said.
