Lorraine Kelly has revealed she’s planning on moving back home to Scotland.
Born in Glasgow, Lorraine began her TV career as a reporter in 1984 before becoming a main presenter on Good Morning Britain six years later.
In 1993 she helped launched GMTV, with her eponymous talk show premiering nearly 20 years after that and becoming a mainstay on ITV.
However, the 65-year-old has now shared her plans to eventually return to her home country.
Recalling a conversation with her daughter Rosie, who recently welcomed daughter Billie, Lorraine said they’d discussed leaving England.
‘Rosie and I were talking about it the other day and we think we’ll eventually all end up coming back to Scotland. I miss Dundee a lot. Rosie loved it there and still does,’ she told The People’s Friend Special.

Her comments came after Lorraine found herself under the spotlight this year for missing hosting nearly half of her show’s episodes, with Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh regularly stepping in.
Each day an X account titled Where Is Lorraine? has tracked whether she’s presented the programme, revealing this week she’s hosted 152 out of 256 episodes, or 59.4%.
Earlier this year Lorraine addressed the existence of the account, saying: ‘The amount of space I occupy in people’s heads is quite bizarre.’
‘It’s fine, I don’t mind, I don’t care,’ she added during an appearance on Woman’s Hour.

She continued: ‘You should never comment on things like that if you don’t know what’s going on in people’s lives, but I am having to take quite a few Fridays off because my mum is really not well.
‘So, I can go home now and spend some more time with her and help her more than I’ve been able to.
‘So that’s happening now but that will change. I’ve been doing five days a week for 40 years so I’m just taking a wee bit of time off.’
Lorraine had previously explained skipping her shows on Fridays, sharing she travelled ‘home’ to spend time with her mum Anne who lives in East Kilbride in Scotland.

Until 2017 Lorraine had lived in Dundee with her husband Steve, however they now live in a riverside property in Buckinghamshire.
Last week Lorraine spoke to The Yorkshire Post about her four-decade long career in TV, saying: ‘I’d like to keep on doing my show for as long as people want to watch.’
She continued: ‘I didn’t expect to still be here (on television) at 65, but I am so happy to be doing the job I love after 40 years.
‘It’s wonderful and it’s down to all the fantastic people I have worked with, my top team and the viewers who have been so loyal and shown me such support.’
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV1.
