Bravo fans were left reeling recently when Paige DeSorbo announced her split from Craig Conover, after three years of dating.

The Summer House star first started dating the Southern Charm OG in 2021, after they grew close in the Winter House spin-off – their romance then played out on three separate shows across the network, cementing their status as a reality TV power couple.

However, it wasn’t to last and the 32-year-old confirmed that they had gone their separate ways during an episode of her Giggly Squad podcast on December 30, insisting that it was the ‘right decision’ for both of them.

While she vowed that nothing huge led to their break-up, Craig teased that there were some cracks with a very cryptic comment, during an interview with Metro before the news broke.

In a joint chat to promote season 10 of Southern Charm alongside co-star Austen Kroll at Hayu Fanfest, the 35-year-old discussed the correct way to pronounce his name, when he told us: ‘I don’t know why my parents named me Craig.

‘My kids will be named like Lightning, Thunder and Seven. I mean, I would have if I didn’t date Paige…

‘I actually like London for a girl’s name.’

Craig has yet to address his split from Paige publicly, but his mention of baby names was apt as – in last week’s episode of Southern Charm – he dropped the bombshell that they had decided to take the next step and freeze his sperm.

‘I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is probably … whatever it’s called when it has to happen in my future,’ he said.

‘The version of life that I saw myself living isn’t what I’m living, which is this stable home that I grew up in,’ he added to the camera.

‘I think if you find the right person and they happen to be a feisty Italian from New York, things aren’t always going to go how you have them planned.’

Sharing his own thoughts on the situation, Austen said: ‘Ever since I’ve known Craig, he’s wanted to get married, wanted to have kids.

‘I’m not entirely sold that Craig wants exactly what Paige wants.’

The former couple started dating at the end of 2021, and had faced intense scrutiny over their romance ever since – with questions over their plans for the future as Paige lived in New York, while Craig resided in Charleston.

They both continued to keep up with a long distance relationship over the years, juggling their time together with filming for their separate Bravo shows, but both explained that they eventually wanted to live in the same city, and start a family together.

Paige sent everyone into the news of their split on her podcast just a few days ago, telling listeners: ‘What I did want to say is that Craig and I have decided to no longer be together.

‘It’s very weird. I wasn’t expecting this, obviously, when we first started dating, like you don’t think, “Oh, what’s going to happen? Will we get married, will we not?”

‘I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything, it wasn’t like a bad thing. I think we both were being mature and just saying what we want and what we didn’t want.

‘And I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.’

Southern Charm is available to watch on Hayu now, with new episodes dropping on Fridays.
