Netflix viewers have noticed a massive ‘blunder’ in a pivotal scene of Squid Game season 2.

After a three-year wait, the hit South Korean series returned to screens on Boxing Day.

After winning the life-and-death game the first time around, the second season saw Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) re-enter the game to enact revenge for the hundreds of lives lost.

During the finale episode, he convinced some of his fellow players to rise up against the guards and stage a revolt in an attempt to save those who hadn’t yet been murdered.

In jaw-dropping scenes a gunfight emerged between the two sides.

However, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed someone who was not meant to be there – a cameraman.

Watching the episode, some realised a mistake that had failed to be pick up when the episodes were edited.

‘Someone is getting fired from the Squid Game team after one of the cameramen was spotted in the background mid episode,’ user scubaryan_ posted on X.

Sharing the clip from 22 minutes into episode 7, a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment showed a camera panning across the contestants in the middle of the gunfight before also capturing a camera operator filming from another angle.

‘How can such a big company not realise this,’ Suarez shared.

‘This is like a first season level mistake,’ Mason added.

However, others were more forgiving.

‘You will literally never get me to hate stuff like this. Movies and TV are made by people, so sometimes they have mistakes in them,’ King added.

Others also referenced the infamous coffee cup spotted in a Game of Thrones scene, sharing mistakes like this can easily slip through.

Despite the excitement surrounding the return of Squid Game, many viewers admitted they were left disappointed.

‘This was a complete and total train wreck that doesn’t compare at all to season 1,’ Graham posted on Rotten Tomatoes

‘This season is a complete downgrade in all ways from season 1,’ Aziz shared

‘The movie feels like they ran out of money or time,’ SB added.
