Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have ‘de facto’ separate toilets in their home.

The celebrity couple delighted fans with their appearance at the Golden Globes over the weekend as they supported each other’s work.

The OC star, 38, was nominated for Best Performance in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for his role in the Netflix series Nobody Wants This.

Although, Adam lost the prize to Jeremy Allen White for his performance in The Bear, the actor seemed to have fun at the event with his wife as the couple shared a strange bathroom habit while being interviewed on the red carpet.

‘We have de facto separate toilets,’ Adam told Access Hollywood. ‘I go in the office. It’s nice.’

He then explained that he prefers the added level of ‘privacy’: ‘One layer farther away from the kids and one layer more deep with privacy.’

However, this appeared to be something Leighton was unaware of as she looked confused and explained that she gives ‘no thought’ to which toilet she uses in their California’s Pacific Palisades mansion.

‘I just put no thought into the toilet situation whatsoever,’ Leighton said. ‘Never crossed my mind.’

Leighton also joked that she was into the ‘Hot Rabbi’ moniker her husband had been given after his Netflix show.

She also commented on the fact that her husband was involved in one of the best kisses on screen as part of the show.

Adam joked: ‘She taught me the good stuff, that’s not even the A material.’

‘I taught him everything he knows!’ she added.

The couple first met in 2010 when they co-starred in the film The Oranges. They got engaged in 2013 and married in 2014.

They have two children, a daughter born in 2015 and a son who was born in 2020.

The couple collaborated on the 2023 film River Wild and have teased that they would be interested in working together again.
