The Masked Singer UK fans were sent into overdrive this weekend when ITV’s most bonkers singing competition finally returned.

After Spag Bol and Pegasus were eliminated – and revealed to be Kate Garraway and Dame Prue Leith respectively – viewers have been working hard trying to figure out who the other concealed celebrities could be.

Now some think that they’ve nailed the identity of Tattoo, who performed Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s disco track Murder on the Dancefloor on Saturday night.

The clues all seem to point towards none other than legendary popstar Nelly Furtado, whose many hits include Maneater, Promiscuous, I’m Like A Bird, All Good Things and many more. So let’s dig deeper to find out why.

In a post shared on Reddit, a user called Bright-Tops5691 outlined the hints that they believe are clear indicators that the 46-year-old singer is the one behind the mask.

Referencing clues that were shown in Tattoo’s VT, the Masked Singer fan explained that in their opinion, a framed photo of All Saints singer Natalie Appleton might have been a sign that Tattoo is also Canadian, and Nelly was born in Canada.

‘The horseshoe, rabbit’s foot and four-leaf clover all symbolise luck. Nelly’s newest album is called “7” which also represents luck,’ they continued.

After doing some impressive research, the Reddit user highlighted that when the musician was a teenager, she worked at an establishment called Robin Hood Inn – and a Robin Hood hat was shown in the video package.

Furthermore, there are a couple of birds on Tattoo’s costume, which could symbolise one of her most popular songs, I’m Like A Bird.

‘Full disclosure, I solved a few after googling, and also I’m aware that some of these may be a bit of a reach,’ the Reddit user wrote – but several people agreed with their savvy clue-spotting.

‘Wow! I never picked up on any of these but you’re so right. Very good observations,’ hollieprincess said.

‘I never picked up on these and I was convinced tattoo is Emma Bunton. This is a good observation!’ N0rska wrote, while IamMisaki added: ‘Good cooking here friend.’

Other celebrities who have been mentioned as possible contenders for Tattoo include Cheryl, Jessie Wallace, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Emma Bunton.
