The Traitors star Maia Gouveia was reportedly caught using a company credit card after being sacked from her job.
The 25-year-old mum from Essex is currently a Faithful on Claudia Winkleman’s murder mystery gameshow, which has returned for a third season.
Maia and her sister Armani have already brought a huge twist to the programme, as the latter was chosen to be a Traitor and turned on by her younger sister during a dramatic roundtable.
Details of the contestants’ private lives have begun to emerge as they follow in the footsteps of the likes of Harry Clark and Dancing on Ice star Mollie Pearce, and Maia’s past experience working for an Apprentice star has now come to light.
The BBC contestant, who has more than 150,000 followers on TikTok, was reportedly caught using a company credit card after she was sacked from gifting company Bubblegum Stuff, which is owned by The Apprentice series 12 contestant Courtney Wood.
It’s alleged her contract was terminated after she failed to show up to work, having started her role as a social media manager three months prior, and failed to notify her employers of a holiday to Trinidad in February 2024.

According to MailOnline, six months after she left the business, Maia reportedly used the company credit card via Apple Pay to make several purchases.
It’s claimed the card was blocked, and the incident was reported to police.
Maia, who is pregnant with her second child, reportedly later claimed the charges to the card were made by accident, and is said to be ‘deeply regretful’.
A source told the publication: ‘Maia is deeply regretful for the mistakes she made during her employment with Bubblegum Stuff and her actions afterwards.
‘She was going through a tough time as a new mother and wishes she behaved differently.

‘Maia’s father visited the Bubblegum Stuff offices to make amends after the credit incident was exposed while Courtney decided against taking the matter any further.’
Ahead of entering the game, Maia revealed she binge-watched the last series and became ‘so invested’, but thought she could play a better game.
‘I literally was thinking you guys aren’t lying properly, you’re not lying correctly, there are too many emotions going on, this is money. So yeah, one was that I felt like I could do it better. Second one was the money,’ she said, explaining her reasons for applying.
She went on: ‘I am also a very competitive person in general. Growing up, I was a natural liar. And then I stopped lying, because my family said it was getting really bad.’

Maia added that shed was ‘excited to be able to lie again’ and ‘twist some stories and make up things’.
She currently remains in the game as a Faithful, after her sister Armani wasvoted out and revealed to be a Traitor.
Following her elimination, the 27-year-old financial investigator said she had a ‘secret game plan’ with Maia, who didn’t know her own sister was a Traitor.

After her dramatic roundtable, Armani claimed she and Maia had a game plan that her younger sister ‘forgot’.
‘We did [have a game plan]. She forgot. She would take one side of the room, I would take the other, and then we could come back and give our information to each other,’ she said on This Morning.
She added that she knew her time on the gameshow had come to an end when Maia abandoned their original plan, saying: ‘I knew it was the end of me.’
Metro has approached reps for The Traitors and for Maia for comment.
The Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
