The Traitors is unlike any reality TV show and made a splash when it first aired on the BBC for having a refreshingly ‘normal’ cast.

Other contestants on major primetime shows (Love Island, ahem) seem like influencers interested in launching glittering showbusiness careers rather than the task at hand.

But while The Traitors players seem in it purely for the game, that doesn’t mean that its former stars haven’t also found success, with several going on to star in huge TV shows.

There have been former faithfuls and traitors alike, who have cropped up on Call The Midwife’s Christmas special, panel shows – and even Celebrity MasterChef.

There has already been some icon behaviour on season 3 – including Charlotte faking a Welsh accent for no reason and Linda’s ‘acting’ skills – so who knows what might be in store for them.

Here are the 7 most successful former stars on The Traitors – and how they made it.

Mollie Pearce

Mollie Pearce had the most gut-wrenching end to her time on The Traitors when she discovered in the final that her best friend Harry Clark had been deceiving her throughout the entire game – and walked away with the entire £95,150 cash prize.

However, fortune has smiled on the 22-year-old more brightly since leaving the Scottish castle as she has hopped from the BBC to mega ITV show Dancing On Ice.

The model is part of the skating competition series 2025 line-up, alongside the likes of Ferne McCann and Charlie Brooks, meaning her star is only set to soar.

Diane Carson

Diane Carson’s time on The Traitors was cut tragically short but she had the campest send-off in TV history with an OTT funeral after being killed off by a glass of fizzy rosé and became a gay icon.

Offers soon began pouring in, including from the likes of Lidl, with Diane, 64, accepting an offer to become a contestant on Celebrity MasterChef with stars including Vito Coppola and Mutya Buena.

The retired teacher is also going on tour around the UK this spring in comedy production Mothers of the Bride and will appear in an episode of Would I Lie To You?.

Aaron Evans

Faithful Aaron Evans won a share of the £101,500 prize money after winning The Traitors season one along with Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams.

Since then, the 27-year-old has pivoted towards dating reality shows, starting with an episode of First Dates before trying his luck Stateside in Love Island USA.

In the show, he was paired with Kaylor Martin but their relationship soured after he enjoyed his time in Casa Amor a little too much. Last year, he was also a contestant on Celebrity Mastermind.

Maddy Smedley

Maddy was most recently seen in the Christmas special of Call The Midwife (Picture: BBC)

In The Traitors season one, Maddy Smedley earned the nickname Maddy Marple for her dogged pursuit of Wilfred Webster, who she suspected of being a Traitor, but for all the wrong reasons.

But the 32-year-old also had a secret – of her own – that she was an actress and previously appeared as a homeless person in an episode of EastEnders.

Her appearance in The Traitors has certainly taken her acting career up a gear, as she has now had guest roles in Channel 4 show Big Boys, the Call the Midwife Christmas special and Hollyoaks.

Wilfred Webster

Traitor Wilfred Webster very nearly walked away with all the money in season one but was rumbled at the 11thhour.

The 31-year-old used his notoriety on the BBC show to build his social media following and reach as a content creator – now boasting 137K followers on Instagram.

Last year, Wilf also appeared on an episode of Would I Lie To You? where he was on captain Lee Mack’s team.

Amanda Lovett

Amanda Lovett became a true ‘gay icon’ who was season one’s unlikely but high-camp assassin before was unmasked as a traitor and banished from the game,

Leveraging her popularity, the 56-year-old has made appearances on Homes Under The Hammer and Good Morning Britain and was also a regular on Channel 5’s Alexis Conran & Friends and Jeremy Vine.

Amanda also starred in BBC documentary Pilgrimage: The Road Through North Wales with the likes of Christine McGuinness,  Spencer Matthews and  Michaela Strachan.

Jaz Singh

Jazatha Christie’s detective skills were sadly wasted on the faithfuls who refused to believe his theories in season two – even though they were always spot on.

Luckily, the BBC’s Asian Network has recognised his talents instead, hiring him as a presenter last summer for its Asian Network Motivation strand, promising the ‘ultimate mood boost.’

Jaz also presented a piece on Agatha Christie for ITV’s This Morning and is available to book as a speaker after he became ‘the most trustworthy man in the UK’ on The Traitors.

The Traitors continues tonight at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
