Clint Eastwood’s son gives update on father’s well-being after partner’s death-Emily Bashforth-Entertainment – Metro

Scott Eastwood, the son of Clint Eastwood, has shared an update on his father following the death of the movie legend’s partner.

Christina Sandera died on July 18, 2024, at the age of 61 after being in a relationship with Eastwood for over a decade.

It was later confirmed that her cause of death was a heart attack.

When he announced the sad news, Eastwood requested privacy to grieve.

Now, Scott, 38, has given fans a reassuring update on how the actor is doing.

Scott told People of his filmmaker father: ‘He’s good. He’s doing good.

‘He’s a survivor, a trouper.’

The film producer, who has starred in several of his father’s films, such as Invictus (2009) and Trouble with the Curve (2012), was also asked what his dad has taught him about resilience.

He replied: ‘It’s in our blood. You don’t complain. You don’t whine. You just do.’

Scott added that the 94-year-old Dirty Harry star ‘was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II.’

‘He saw a lot of struggle,’ Scott admitted.

‘There is no room for complaining.’

In a short but emotional statement issued when Sandera died, Eastwood told the world: ‘Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much.’

The two met in 2014 when Sandera was working at Eastwood’s property in the Mission Ranch Hotel.

They went public with their romance the following year.

‘She lives with him in his house he used to share with [second wife], Dina. She moved in months ago,’ a source said at the time.

‘Clint’s kids have all met Christina and like [her]. [The] kids all say she is “normal”.’

Eastwood and Sandera went on to make several public appearances at high-profile events, with their red carpet debut as a couple being the 2015 Oscars.

Throughout his career in Hollywood, Eastwood’s love life has been a major talking point.

He’s been married twice, firstly to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1987 and later to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2004.

Eastwood also fathers eight children, the eldest of whom was born in 1968 while the youngest arrived in 1993.

However, he chooses to keep his family away from prying eyes, previously telling CBS News that while he can ‘protect [himself], they can’t.’

‘There are other people that are involved there and they’re vulnerable people,’ added the Oscar winner.
