Cameron Diaz has revealed she would appear in a sequel to her debut role as Tina Carlyle in the 1994 comedy, The Mask.
Cameron, 52, burst onto screens in the 90s in the breakout role when she was just 21-years-old.
TShe had no previous acting experience when she was cast and quickly took lessons – which clearly proved to be effective as the role was one of the 10 highest-grossing films of 1994.
The superhero comedy film, directed by Chuck Russell, also starred Jim Carrey who led the cast as Stanley Ipkiss, a normal man who discovers a magical wooden mask that transforms him into a green-faced troublemaker who can bend reality.
Cameron played Stanley’s girlfriend Tina and the role launched her career and made the star a sex symbol.
When asked about the movie in an interview with Access Hollywood for her new film, the 52-year-old Charlie’s Angel star said she would return if her co-star is also keen.
‘If Jim’s on board, I mean, I’ve been riding those coattails from day one!’ she said with a laugh.

The interviewer informed the actress that her co-star Jim, 63, was also keen to reprise the role – which he confirmed last month.
Comicbook.com asked the Liar Liar actor about The Mask, to which he replied: ‘Oh gosh, you know, it has to be the right idea. If somebody had the right idea, I guess… It’s not really about the money. I joke about the money… But I never know.
‘You can’t be definite about these things. I said I’d like to retire, but I think I was talking more about power-resting.
‘Because as soon as a good idea comes your way, or a group of people that you really enjoyed working with and stuff, it just – things tend to change.

The news comes as the San Diego-born actress broke her eight-year acting retirement to star in a new comedy alongside Jamie Foxx.
She revealed that she took some time away from Hollywood because she wanted to focus on her family.
Speaking to Still Watching Netflix, she explained: ‘[In 2014] I was not keeping up with any kind of training. I did nothing public. I said no to everything.
‘I [was] being a mum and living my day-to-day. I [was just] trying to stay alive just like every other mother. I’m just trying to keep it going.’
