Ariana Grande celebrated her first-ever Oscar nomination last night with her Wicked co-star boyfriend Ethan Slater.

The Oscar nominations were announced on January 23 with Wicked sweeping the board with 10 nominations.

The Broadway-inspired film’s nominations included a best actress mention for Cynthia Erivo, and a best supporting actress tip for Ariana, marking her first Oscar nod.

The Thank U Next singer is going up against fellow nominees Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown, Felicity Jones in The Brutalist, Conclave’s Isabella Rossellini and Zoe Saldana for Emilia Pérez.

The actress, 31, was in London last night for an interview on BBC’s The Graham Norton and celebrated with her boyfriend after the exciting announcement.

Ariana looked incredible in a pale pink gown with a Schiaparelli handbag and a pair of pink high heels – all in keeping with her Wicked character Glinda.

Ahead of their night out, Ethan posted a rare snap of his Wicked co-star on his social media.

The image showed Ariana facing away from the camera and holding a bunch of pale pink balloons.

The actor who played Boq in the musical film left the image without a caption but tagged his girlfriend, the Academy and Wicked in the sweet post.

‘Picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition.

‘I cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise. I’m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny Ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered.

‘I’m so proud of you, tiny. thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for this acknowledgement @theacademy.
