The one and only 50 Cent will be returning to Parklife Festival this year as a headliner alongside Charli XCX in the newly revealed line-up.

He joins the likes of Jorja Smith, Peggy Gou, Rudim3ntal, Flo, and rising star Lola Young in her festival debut on June 14 and 15.

About 8,000 music lovers are expected to fill the park, which saw Disclosure and Doja Cat headline last year.

Clearly, 50 Cent is a big fan of the Manchester festival as it has only been three years since he last headlined at Heaton Park.

Despite his 2023 world tour and festival appearances, the 49-year-old star has not actually released a full studio album in over a decade.

Animal Ambition dropped in 2014 and fans of 50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson III, have been begging for a follow-up ever since.

Instead, the American rapper has been focusing on his TV and film career, occasionally releasing singles and collaborations.

He did recently get hopes up by confirming he was planning to ‘make some new music’ when on YouTube show Talk with Flee in December.

‘I’m gonna end up putting it in some of the new projects,’ the In da Club rapper then said, dashing any hopes.

50 Cent has plenty of hits to fill a set though so new music might not be on the horizon but the Parklife set will undoubtedly please fans.

He’ll take to the stage after an impressive run of girl group Flo, drum and bass icons Rudim3ntal and Grammy nominee Jorja Smith.

This year marks Parklife’s 15th Anniversary so it’s no surprise they’ve pulled out all the stops, including the woman who had us all wanting a Brat summer last year.

Charli XCX will take the Sunday closing slot after fellow Brit Award nominees Confidence Man and a DJ set from Peggy Gou.

The second phase of ticket sales for Parklife will open at 10am on Friday, January 31 after the previously released batch sold out.

Pre-sale for Three+ customers is open now and fan pre-sale for those who signed up will open at 10am on Thursday, January 30.
