Smallville’s Tom Welling looks almost unrecognisable in police mugshot after DUI arrest-Kitty Chrisp-Entertainment – Metro

Tom Welling, who played Clark Kent in the Superman TV show Smallville, was reportedly arrested for a DUI last weekend, and his mugshot looks much different from how we remember him.

The actor, 47, was stopped by police and arrested in an Arby’s parking lot in Yreka, California shortly after midnight on Saturday for allegedly driving under the influence, TMZ report.

His blood alcohol levels were said to have measured on or above the 0.08% limit, the US outlet said.

The New York post, having seen police documents, reported on Tuesday that he was released without bail shortly after 7am on Sunday.

However, online people were more concerned with Tom’s transformation.

‘Is this the guy who played superman?????’ asked @gayrdians, while @girlsaloudshow said: ‘what on earth this cannot be him omg….’

Others were mystified at the location of his arrest – in the car park of the US fast food sandwich joint Arby’s.

‘Arby’s parking lot really makes it,’ wrote @SpacewaySurf, while @phantomthr3ad said: ‘Eating at arby’s of all places…?’

Smallville followed Superman’s origin story, and saw Welling portray a young Clark Kent for 10 seasons of the show from 2001 to 2011.

Welling was just 24 when Smallville hit the screens, and he last played Superman 14 years ago in the show, which he starred in alongside Allison Mack, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk, John Glover and Erica Durance.

In the 2000s Welling also portrayed Charlie Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen alongside Steve Martin, and again in the 2005 sequel.

After Smallville, Welling appeared as Marcus Pierce in 22 episodes ofLucifer, which ended in 2018.

Within the last five years, Welling has appeared as Vincent Corbo in TV series Professionals, and as Samuel Campbell in The Winchesters.

Last year he starred in two films called Mafia Wars and Clear Cut.
