Jodie Foster was accompanied by her lookalike son Charlie as she walked the red carpet at this year’s SAG Awards.

The Hollywood icon, 62, was nominated for outstanding performance by a female actor in a TV movie or limited series for her role in True Detective: Night Country.

She was supported by Charlie at the event, whom she posed alongside on the red carpet wearing a dazzling deep red embellished dress.

In a rare public appearance, Charlie, 26, stood side-by-side with his mum in a dapper black tuxedo.

Jodie shares Charlie and Kit, 23, with her ex-partner Cydney Bernard, with whom she was in a relationship between 1993 and 2008.

Accepting her Golden Globe award earlier this year, The Silence of The Lambs star paid tribute to her sons in a touching speech.

‘I just want to thank my family. Because Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son who’s starting his career, hopefully you understand the joy, such joy, that comes from doing really hard, meaningful, good work,’ she said.

‘So my boys, I love you, and this, of course, is for you.’

Charlie has followed his mother’s footsteps into the world of acting, with Jodie opening up to People in 2024 about her pride over their achievements.

‘They’re at that age where they’re starting their careers right now — and they’re pretty insecure about what’s gonna happen,’ she said.

‘But every time they get a joy, like I got an “A” or I got this job or I got an audition, my heart just fills up 14 times because I have this memory of a beautiful career that’s built on doing meaningful work, and I know that’s the recipe for happiness, so I’m just thrilled for them, for the future.’

Taxi Driver star Jodie’s red carpet appearance with Charlie may come as a surprise as she previously revealed she had kept her acting career a secret from her children.

During an appearance on The View last year, she explained: ‘I guess I just didn’t want them to know me that way.

‘I wanted them to know me as their mom and the person who went away to work and stuff.’

She continued: ‘I just didn’t want them to be confused about what I did for a living.

‘I brought him [Charlie] to set one day and I bought him a little plastic tool belt and stuff, and I was like, “Yeah, and this is this set and this set and this set.” And for a really long time, he thought I was a construction worker.’
