The time has come – tonight, the Brit Awards return for the 2025 ceremony, with some of the biggest music stars in the world set to attend.

This year’s show will see the likes of Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Sam Fender, Jade Thirlwall, Kendrick Lamar and Chappell Roan go up for major awards, and it’s bound to be a spectacle.

On top of the usual accolades that are going to be handed out, there will also be an array of jaw-dropping performances, with global pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter confirmed to be taking to the stage ahead of her headlining spot at BST Hyde Park this summer.

Then after the show, there are going to be several afterparties taking place in the English capital, where the raucous festivities will continue into the early hours of the morning.

So how can you watch the Brits, who’s nominated and who’ll be performing? Here’s everything you need to know.

What time do the Brit Awards start and where to watch?

The Brit Awards are set to kick off this Saturday March 1 at 8.15pm, with the show airing on ITV1 and ITVX from 8.15pm until 10.40pm.

The televised programme will be preceded by Britain’s Got Talent from 7pm until 8.15pm

A show also aired on Thursday February 27 on ITV2 called The Brits 2025: The Warm-Up, which was presented by Harriet Rose and Munya Chawawa, and can be streamed on ITVX.

Who’s hosting the Brit Awards 2025?

This year, the Brits are being hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time proceeding over the ceremony.

The last time he presented the show was 2021, and before that he hosted consecutively in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Announcing his return, the 36-year-old said: ‘They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and that is absolutely the case with The Brit Awards – it is my favourite night of the year, and I am delighted to be invited back to host in 2025.’

Last year’s ceremony was hosted by Maya Jama, Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo, while Mo Gilligan was in charge in 2023 and 2022.

Can you buy tickets to be at the Brits?

Tickets to attend the Brit Awards went on sale in December last year.

However, there are still some available if you want to be there in person – for a hefty cost.

Who’s performing at the Brits?

Several of the biggest stars on the UK music scene are set to perform at this year’s Brit Awards.

They include Jade Thirlwall, Myles Smith, Sabrina Carpenterand Teddy swims, as well as The Last Dinner Party, Sam Fender and Lola Young.

In February, Jade posted a video on Instagram revealing the moment she found out that she was going to perform at the ceremony, writing in the caption that it was a ‘dream come true’.

Standing outside, the singer’s jaw dropped as she was told: ‘You’re gonna be performing on the Brits.’

‘Are you joking?!’ she asked, looking astounded. ‘Are you actually joking?’

She then started crying, before hiding her face with her coat in an adorable moment as onlookers cheered for her amazing achievement.

Is there a Brits afterparty?

After the party, you have the afterparty… and it’s always an incredibly star-studded and glitzy affair when it comes to the Brits.

Last year, Universal’s afterparty saw Spice Girls legend Mel C go behind the decks, with McFly band members Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher among those in attendace, while rap legend Eve also performed for the revellers at 180 The Strand.

Warner Music and Ciroc Vodka also hosted an afterparty at the Nomad Hotel Library in Covent Garden, which was attended by Maya Jama, Kylie Minogue and Dua Lipa.

Over at the Sony Music afterparty at Nobu Hotel, stars including Ellie Goulding, Aitch, Vick Hope, Calvin Harris and Jordan North carried on their celebrations.
