Britain’s Got Talent viewers horrified as Simon Cowell ‘nearly killed’ by sledgehammer-Meghna Amin-Entertainment – Metro

Britain’s Got Talent viewers have been left horrified after Simon Cowell was ‘nearly killed’ by a man with a sledgehammer.
The auditions stage continued to air on ITV this week, with one act in particular leaving fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli gobsmacked – and not in a good way.
Kranthi Drillman travelled from India to try out for the variety show, declaring how pleased he was to be able to perform in front of Simon.
He was initially called a ‘nice man’ from the media mogul, 65, before the yoga instructor’s act left everyone terrified.
Kranthi began by smashing into coconuts with his bare hands and teeth before taking things to a whole new level.

‘I’m not enjoying this,’ the judges were heard commenting, while hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly warned: ‘Don’t try this at home.’

When viewers thought things couldn’t get any more dangerous, Simon was brought onto the stage and ordered to ‘stay completely still’ by a crew member.
We could all feel his heartrate increase when the performer put a blindfold on and began smashing watermelons around Simon’s head, as he lay on the stage.
When it all got a little too much, Bruno, Amanda and Alesha all buzzed ‘no’, with Simon urging the act to stop and needing help from the crew.

‘That’s it, that’s it,’ he shouted out to the production team, as they rushed onto the stage and told Kranthi to stop his act.
‘I didn’t know he was going to do that!’ Simon then told Ant as he was helped up, with watermelon debris brushed off him.
Viewers were equally as horrified, taking to X to share their panic.

‘Omg he’s blindfolded, he’s gonna end up killing simon doing this,’ one viewer, Chloe, wrote.
‘When a crazy act turns into a danger act. This is madness,’ Ryan said.
‘This isn’t entertainment,’ Danny added while Jai said: ‘Wtf am I watching.’
Amy wrote: ‘Genuinely terrified of this guy. The nightmares I’ll have tonight.’

Somehow, Simon gave Kranthi a ‘yes’, adding: ‘I thought it was good with the watermelons,’ after the audition concluded with Kranthi smashing his head into the remaining watermelons on stage.
‘That was the scariest thing I’ve ever done, I swear to god,’ Simon then told Ant and Dec behind-the-scenes.
‘I never want to see that again,’ Alesha added.

‘That was absolutely horrifying,’ Bruno said, while Amanda admitted: ‘I would never have done that in a million years.’
Simon had previously admitted he thought he was going to die during the act, saying: ‘You know the feeling when you kind of think, somebody doesn’t want you on the show anymore? It was that.
‘It was the closest genuinely where I’m thinking they actually want to kill me.

‘And I swear to God that’s how I felt. Because this guy got really nervous and he’d slipped and he was smashing these watermelons.’
He added that St John’s Ambulance staff were on hand, before saying: ‘It was so precarious because it was melon they were smashing. So the water was everywhere.
‘So any kind of safety that there must have been on that stage was out the window. It was horrific.’
Britain’s Got Talent is available to watch on ITVX.
