Celebrity Big Brother star Pamela Bach was ‘plagued’ with pain for over 20 years before her death aged 62 this week, her former publicist has revealed.
The actress, most known for her role as Kaye Morgan in Baywatch, was reportedly found at her home in LA on Wednesday night.
Her official cause of death has not been confirmed, but US outlets report that she died by suicide.
Bach was married to David Hasselhoff for around 17 years, and he has paid tribute, saying he’s ‘deeply saddened’ over the loss.
Now Terry Ahern, Bach’s longtime friend and former publicist, has told People how he remembers Bach.
Alongside calling Bach the ‘kindest person you’d ever meet’, Terry said reports she’d taken her own life were a ‘shock’ because she was the ‘last person in the world’ he’d think would do that.

He was unaware of any mental health issues Bach was facing, but said that ever since a 2003 motorcycle crash with David she’s been ‘plagued’ by the pain of arthritis.
She was ‘in the hospital with a broken neck and back,’ he said, which resulted in her ‘spending months in intensive care with crushed bones’.
‘That plagued her, the arthritis from it,’ he added. ‘Because that stuff catches up to you when you get older – injuries that are [from] earlier, arthritis sets in …

Terry, who worked with Bach for 11 years from 2012, said Bach had ‘so many friends’ and in turn she loved people back, and animals.
‘Pamela stood for kindness, sweetness, and love, plain and simple,’ he added.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officers claim that Bach’s family raised the alarm after they hadn’t heard from her, and wanted to ‘check on her out of concern’.
LAPD officials are thought to have responded to a call about a body after 10pm on Wednesday evening.
‘Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,’ David told the US outlet in a statement.
‘We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.’
David and Pamela married in 1989, splitting in 2006.
A neighbour has since shared details of the moments following the discovery of Bach in the home, claiming they heard her daughter Hayley Bach-Hasselhoff – who Bach shared with ex-husband David – ‘screaming and crying.’
‘She was hysterical, yelling, screaming, crying on the street. She was crying, saying “I just want to get my car”,’ Hiromi Osieck told The Mirror.
‘A little later, she came out with police. I heard her crying and somebody was trying to comfort her.’
She added: ‘We couldn’t see what was going on in the house, but when she came out she was crying like crazy.’
